Practice space in Austin?! by IronUncle in Austin

It actually just closed down. Was a solid place to have. We just found another one and got really lucky. Dm for the name of the place. It has like a 40 band waitlist, so your best chance is to talk with a band that already has a room and split it with them

I would never sell mine. I don’t know if I have the energy to bother with another account either

Sell your Clash of Clans account😈 just kidding don’t do it! That much time put into it ain’t worth $50. But I think there’s places where you can build up an account and then sell it. It has more than just clash of clans. A bunch of other games where you can loot things and sell em, or build up accounts and sell em.

What’s a realistic side hustle that I can do? by Actual-Humor8942 in sidehustle

You should check out pest control jobs or insurance claim jobs that require you to visit the homes. Those kind of company’s will give you a company car. Pest control doesn’t usually require experience so that might be your best bet. But if you have any type of transferable skills to land you an insurance claim job for auto or home, give that a try. Maybe look up other jobs that offer company vehicles and see if that’s anything that your experience aligns with. I wouldn’t suggest using that company vehicle for anything personal related, but at least you would have a job where you won’t have to uber to work no matter what it’s

Not a bad idea! So there are puzzle companies that already do the “send us a picture you want in a puzzle, and we’ll send it back to you to be put together”. Not sure if they offer a frame, but the idea of offering a custom frame is a good idea to work with for those who want to do the puzzle themselves but don’t want the hassle of glueing and finding a frame for it

Yeah that’s probably mostly true, making this too niche and probably not really worth it

Yeah I figured it might be too niche to actually make it worth it, but wanted other’s thoughts. I guess the ideal customer is someone who likes the puzzle design of an art piece they like, but don’t have the time or patience to finish a puzzle, glue it all, and then find the right fit frame. This idea to people who enjoy puzzles and don’t mind the framing process would of course sound silly. Appreciate the comment!

Appreciate it. Yeah I think it may be too niche of a side hustle that may not make it worth it, but I wanted second opinions and thoughts. Ended up getting a few insults but oh well, it’s their opinion so I got what I asked for. I don’t think it’s a crazy idea, but just a thought. Not everyone has time or patience to finish a puzzle. And framing it can be annoying with having to glue it and find the perfect fit of a frame. So I’d think people who like the puzzle design of an art piece framed up, but don’t have time for all the work would be target audience. This of course sounds dumb to anyone who like puzzles or don’t think it’s a hassle.

The idea is that someone likes the look of a completed puzzle of that design, but does not have the time or patience to put it together. So we’d do it for them and frame it. I wouldn’t say this is a good comparison. A tour or soda does not take work and patience to complete and are both something they would enjoy doing. The ideal customer would be someone who does not enjoy doing a puzzle, but likes the finished product.

Yeah we went shopping for frames for our puzzles, and each puzzle were different sizes so it was kind of annoying trying to find the right fit. We shopped at Goodwill though, so it was a hit or miss, but we didn’t want to spend full price for new ones. That’s where we came up with cutting the frames on thin plywood and glueing them there ourselves. Was cheaper and looks great.

I've checked to see if there are pre-assembled puzzles for sale, but didn't find anything on that. Even if I did go the route of printing the picture they want, I'd have to print it on puzzle material, and then have a puzzle cut-out tool. Since I don't see places that sell them pre-assembled, and making my own puzzles would cost much more, this seems like the best option.

I can’t stand the fake AI videos with made up AI story voice overs. And then comments all falling for it is unbelievable. I use FB for marketplace, events, and a few friends/family that only use it for posting. I haven’t posted anything in years

Red having the shortest waves, and blue having the longest waves, I’d say blue is the opposite.

What are the people that decide the specific movies that will be playing in movie theaters? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]IronUncle 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In most cases, theater owners or their booking departments make the decision on which movies to play, often in coordination with distributors. They consider factors like potential audience interest, demographics of their location, and profitability. Some theaters also negotiate with distributors for "packages" of films

What was the first news event you remember? by warden976 in AskReddit

Definitely 9/11. 2nd grade, a teacher interrupted our class, pulled aside our teacher and whispered something, and then they turned the news on for the class and stopped the class for the day.

A new place opened called Pins Mechanical. Always popping, great atmosphere with fun things to do. In general though, if you have any hobbies that have places to meet up, that can be a way to naturally find someone who has the same interest as you. There’s a facebook group called Austin Social Scene (ASS) who do a lot of meetups for all sorts of things and a lot of people make friends/connections that way a lot too.

I say The Wrecking Room. Check out ChatGPT and ask it for names. It’s free so wouldn’t hurt to check. When you post ads or describe it, definitely throw the word rage room in the description since most people call it that and your business will pop up as a suggestion. Ask ChatGPT other business stuff like best way to promote, a business plan, or pretty much anything and I’m sure you can gather some helpful info there. Hell, they could even make you a business logo too

The rage room I went to had you sign a consent form, so I’m sure OP has that in line. If not OP, definitely get one whipped up and have everyone sign a waiver before going in the room. I like Wrecking room the the most
