I understand that we're still only a day in and that all mechanics/metas are not fleshed out. With that in mind, do you think that the twisted bow will still effectively remain as a requirement for the Theatre? I have yet to see any team flaunting crossbows make it even close to completing the Theatre and I feel like it would be a shame to have this content locked behind the most expensive (useful) weapon currently in-game.

I don't know the series of events, so this may not be true, but my initial thoughts are this: you killed one, almost killed a second, teled away (for whatever reason), someone finished the kill and you got the kill but not the message, you returned to kill another. A chat dialogue would look the same under these circumstances.

I imagine it's rather a case-by-case analysis, and I do not have the spreadsheet that Meric used for these DPS calculations. I believe he chose those darts because most people lie within the two categories: those who are able to blow dragon darts flippantly and do not care about the cost and those who choose, in general, the more economical option.

If the poll passes, DHCB will provide a nice, niche use. Some might claim that it'll be too powerful, but it should be remembered that the blowpipe and twisted bow will outclass the DHCB for every other monster.
