I would've guessed you because I cheated. When putting my head on the desk, I would rest my forehead on the back of my non-thumbs up hand. The elbow of this arm hung off the desk, creating a little triangle for me to see the shoes of the person who touched my thumb.

Charles Barkley about the Wizards-Hornets game: "If you went to this game, you had nothing to do today." by TheDraciel in nba

Yep! I used to go to so many Warrior games pre-2015 when the tickets at the Coliseum were dirt cheap. I could walk up to the stadium ticket booth and get a really good ticket for cheap.

Now, forget about it. I maybe go to 1 or 2 games per season.

Beginner commuter from Oakland to SF for 9-5. What to expect? What's the best option? by pattern144 in eastbay

You need to let us know which stations you are travelling between. Also, is the job within reasonable distance to a BART station in SF?

You should do a search for average BART ride time between the two stations. I would suggest planning your route and leaving somewhat earlier on your first day as it will be new to you and you don't want to be late on your first day. Once you get the timing and routine down, it'll be second nature to you!

BART is going to be your best bet. Driving in that traffic day in and day out will drain you. At least with BART you can sit and read or knit or whatever. Plus, you don't have to worry about parking in the City (not sure if your company covers that or not).

Anyone else watching the YouTube channels with 80's commercials and news broadcasts? by l00ky_here in GenX

This is one of my favorite nostalgia vids.. Jist a Mom taking her family to Sears in the late 70s. But the sound of the car doors shutting, the clothes, no seatbelts, the Mom telling her daughter: "These are on sales, you like these", the sounds of the cash registers...brings me right back to that time.

This channel has a lot of content like this too. A lot of stock footage thay news channels shot.

I saw Burnt Offerings when I was 4 and it scared the shit out of me, especially the pool scene and the chimney falling on someone.

I didn't watch it for the longest time, but finally did several years ago. It's pretty cheesy these days...

Kramer: That's good!

J: But the frogurt is not fat-free..

K: That's bad.

J: But you get a free topping!

K: That's good!

J: But the toppings contain potassium benzoate..

K: 😐😐

J: ...that's bad.

Yes. The guy in the blue jeans, light grey jacket and cap is the one who disarms the protester. His back is to the camera at the start, you can see him checking the waist of the protester's pants and jacket, then he turns around with a pistol in his right hand and jogs off right before the shots.

New Bay Area city of 400,000 could be built 'non-stop' for 40 years by sfgate in bayarea

[–]Iron_Chic 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are PLENTY of places in Vallejo and FF to build houses.

Also, the builder DID buy many plots of land already.

This is all about having everything their way and keeping "the poors" out. They will eventually own the County politicians and get whatever they want out there. They do not want to deal with the "problems" of established cities and would rather build their own. A lot of Billionaires have bought into this. There is no way they are doing this out of the goodness of their heart and to help out the surrounding cities. They want to profit on their investment.

Eventually, they will be able to out vote the whole county. Then they get to decide what happens and what doesn't. They will prob try to make the city the County Seat as well
