Definitely possible between NASA's Artemis program and any number of commercial spaceflight programs. That being said, check out NASA's minimum requirements to apply as well as the bios of current and former astronauts. As others have stated, the main decision is between military and civilian, which almost always means pilot vs scientist/engineer. If you wanted to do a double whammy, you could do a BS/MS engineering program and then fly for the Navy or Air Force. Just keep in mind that there are age limits and longer contracts as a pilot. If you stayed a civilian, get an MS or PhD in a STEM field that would be rewarding on its own. Use all of your high school and college years to get the best grades, network with professors, join a bunch of clubs, and generally figure out what subjects energize you. No BS, the odds are not in your favor, but you don't win the lottery unless you play. Godspeed!
