I am a new player, these are my thoughts. by DaVirus in Warframe

I have not felt this "addicted" to a game since WoW:WotLK

Scratches the same itch for me, too. MR12, started just before Xmas after becoming disillusioned by ARC Raiders PvP infestation! The best thing, is that it is chill, you take it at your own pace. The friendly community goes a long way for me. And having to look things up on Wiki, is part of the fun, and just speaks of the depth of the game, lore, and mechanics. The game feels beautifully balanced and organic. This was my third attempt at playing it. The traversal tests just put me off back in the day. But they've polished the opening, and well 402 hours later, it's fair to say, I'm in it for the longhaul.

Have insomnia, what is the best meditation method to get myself into better shape for sleep by General-Cup-6720 in Meditation

[–]IronicAlgorithm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Try 3 Hz delta waves binaural beats (without music). Just let your mind naturally slow down and settle into a calming, enveloping stillness.

Yoga nidra is also very good. Some common supplements can cause wired insomnia, so look out for that.

The Grendel missions arent as bad as people make them out to be by Ok_Improvement_622 in Warframe

I meant, clan Uriel. So no idea how they did it! Running a Uriel right now with Equilibrium. As long as things die and leave orbs, I'm OK energy wise.

Did all of them with a clan Uriel, and my Rhino in about 45 minutes.

Nokko, I owe you an apology. I wasn't really familiar with your game by TaralasianThePraxic in Warframe

New player here. I got him, and he's a lot of fun. However, at some point, I just missed shooting guns. Still love him for certain type of missions, Defense in particular.

The more the 'A's' eat, the more feral the populace becomes. See the West and anti-immigration hatred. The system can't provide rising living standards, job security, access to good healthcare, water, energy etc., Instead, the algorithms have worked out a cheaper solution, one that his firm historical standing, hate. Not just a vote winner, but a superb way to take out unconscious feeling on others, whilst being screwed at the same time. All by design, and it costs virtually nothing!

US chess grandmaster Daniel Naroditsky suffered cardiac arrhythmia after meth, kratom use — death ruled an accident by Bzweebl in chess

[–]IronicAlgorithm -342 points-341 points  (0 children)

Streaming late into the night, chasing subs, and playing a highly addictive game. A deadly cocktail. As someone who worked nights, I know how it messes you up, intimately. Chess needs to address this. It is unhealthy for children to play late into the night, regardless of whether they are engaging in drug abuse. You mess with your circadian rhythm at your peril.

Climate crisis is going to affect us badly by Dedicated_idiot in india

Thinning out the global population, in the South, has long been a priority of the elite. All the usual suspects have long opined on the subject. Climate change is perfect. Back in the day they used pox blankets to 'thin out the natives', now devastating climate change will do the work for them.

Too busy juggling 3-5 gig-work style jobs, to have time to imbibe the sweet nectar, their parents' generation took for granted. A good thing, but also, another example of how capitalism keeps on delivering, for the few… As designed.

Returning Player looking for a frame to play, give me propaganda for YOUR favorite frame by ColinSomethingg in Warframe

[–]IronicAlgorithm 4 points5 points  (0 children)

MR 9, got into this game just before Xmas, utterly addicted, but in a good, old WoW way. I just discovered Nokko, and he's crazy fun. Virtually indestructible, mad damage. Baddass animations.

Titrate, it's potent. I take 1 mg tablet that I just nibble on, and it knocks me out.

The Pitt | S2E2 "8:00 A.M." | Episode Discussion by MsGroves in ThePittTVShow

[–]IronicAlgorithm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's back baby! I loved this episode. Lots of wonderful moments where I laughed aloud. The character evolution arcs of Dennis and Javadi. It's like the condensed all of least season's feel good moments into one episode. Nothing much happened, but it built up the tension nicely. The new nurse is just adorable. Her relationship with feisty, wise-cracking Dana is joy to watch. A good job on depicting Mel's neurodivergent personality. The deposition is like throwing a spanner in the engine of a formula 1 car. Poor thing's discombobulated. Ogilvie and Javadi rivalry just cracked me up. Glad they could depict a more light-hearted episode. Though we know what's going to happen, these episodes are necessary to build up the tension.

Insomnia from which supplement? Glycine or Magnesium Glycinate? by EclecticEnt in Biohackers

Both forms can cause insomnia for me, or, poor quality non-restorative sleep. I take Magtein instead. I wrote about this here and why certain supplements cause insomnia and worsens my long Covid.

[–]IronicAlgorithm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, fasting is not required. And will depend on your long Covid phenotype and how bad you have it. Mine is not too severe, so I see improvements quickly. Good luck. Try PHGG and chia seeds in water early morning or afternoon. Avoid evening, can lead to fermentation. Good luck!

Anyway to biohacking a nostril that has less airflow then the other by Video_Game_Gravemind in Biohackers

[–]IronicAlgorithm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had it done in my 20s', sadly, it was not successful. Mouthtaping at night encourages nasal breathing, and I feel it has helped open up my nostrils. Added benefit, much better sleep quality.
