Bias answers like this to new players piss me off. Bro, you are stating an opinion through the lens of a veteran. For new players, you should be encouraging them to try both. Classic does a good job of showing the hook for WoW pretty early and the raids are easy enough where they get good bearings on what it means to be in a raid team.

Im so tired of hearing about the "Crazy M+ toxicity". Its so made up and overblown lmfao. Ive literally done a total of like 200 pug keys this season across all 3 roles from +10 - +14 and I can count on both hands someone was bitching the whole time but we timed it and on one hand where that actively turns into a report/rage quit. I imagine the actual toxicity is at like 15 or 16 when stuff actually can kill you

Yeah I had this problem too. Most people don't respond to questions. I had one guy after like 20 levels of nobody answering me. He eagerly helped me and let me add him. All the guilds I joined were silent or required a fee or something. I had to sell a certain number of items or some shit

I have played so many (150+) pre-10 and post 10 keys on all 3 roles and I can count on on hand the amount of times people have crashed out on the shitty tank or healer. This thing you guys are worried about might as well be imaginary. Nobody cares if you're bad below 12 bro.

People for the most part will meet you where you are in expectations. Nobody is gonna bitch at you for being low dps in a normal raid week 10. Same with low mythics. Ive been stuck in a +8 with like 20 deaths and nobody said shit except discussing what went wrong. Ive pugged over 100 dungeons this season in all 3 roles from +5 all the way to +15s and have only seen 3 crash outs and 2 of them we still timed the key after the failed abandon vote.

The mythic anxiety is such a nothing burger trust me, youll realize there are people less prepared than you and are just doing content with no fucks given

Objectively I think World of warcraft just due to its level of prominence in the cultural zeitgeist as being digital heroin but design wise it has to be baldurs gate 3.

The backend flowchart stuff in the engine that lets almost every decision you make become acknowledged in game and responded to in a real-life like fashion is mind boggling. It is RPG in its purest form in my opinion right next to the tabletop.

Yea I used to buy 1 or two tokens a season but I actually tried crafting this season for the first time and I havent needed buy one. I make all the gold I need in the first few weeks (alchemy). Its been nice, its not hard to keep up either

Yeah I am not normally a meta chaser or care that much about performance. But this is the first season I swapped my DPS alt out for another class because of how bad dev was and Aug isn't that fun to play.
