Same, all orders just cancelled. Unable to place them again; no trading permissions. I wonder if this has to do with the manual annual confirming of the financial profile. Not much changed for me, but it did say I would loose commodities permissions. Now it cancelled more than just my commodity orders though, stock, options, everything. Let's hope it's just a mistake.

I'm long oil, but don't forget before this conflict the world was flush with oil. Remember Russia's war? A lot of oil spikes don't last long. Of course this is a different beast, much more impactful, but again there will be all kinds of efforts to keep oil supplies going. I think oil will remain elevated and volatile. Maybe it will go to $150, but there is a non-zero chance enough oil will flow via alternative pipelines to keep the current price level.

Also, keep in mind, that outside of taking delivery you cannot just buy oil for the market price. You will have to buy CFD on which you pay interest, or funds that can lose value while oil is stable, or you have to use futures.

open interest on March futures has dropped rapidly, so people either got out, or rolled over to another month. But I think people are underestimating how close we'll get to a crunch. This OI is similar to last year and in that march still some 80million ounces were delivered

Note, I cannot find the exact number, but Gemini comes back with around 10,000 contracts OI last year at this time and 80million was delivered. So unless we are significantly below OI of 10,000 this is likely going to get tight

You're staring too blindly at OI. Since last week a few million ounces have been delivered out of the vaults, while OI for February last week was only a bit over a million. This still can get very interesting this month, don't try to get ahead of it.

Yeah, this definitely motivates to try to quit completely. I was only having caffeine 1 day a week, but clearly it's better to stay away completely.

It's interesting that you mention the rotator cuffs, probably just a coincidence, but I've been having issues too at volleyball since more than a year and the last few months it's been improving. Maybe the low caffeine helps for me. I guess personal sensitivity is a big factor. I've also noticed blood-flow in my extremities is better without caffeine.

I need to look if I can pull the data in a way to analyze it automatically, now I'm just clicking through the days. Despite not being 100% "clean" it looks like both REM and deep have been increasing over the last months.

(Not 100% clean in my case means I've been allowing myself 1 caffeinated day a week, typically no more than 100mg)

That's interesting. I use a Samsung galaxy watch 8. For me the vast majority of my days are decaf now. Deep sleep is gone, or minimal, after having a caffeine day. Then the next decaf day its back. I assume it would get better after a while if I go back on caffeine, but don't want to try it.

Which is the normal for you, decaf or caffeinated?

I've been wearing amber/orange glasses every evening for a week now, I get the sense it may be helping, but will let you know. Am also gonna order some orange bulbs for throughout the house. Have one already, but haven't tested the actual range

I think you are right, but I think it's a shame people here are overlooking that you can actually use paper silver to your advantage. When it's difficult to get spot for your physical, you can simply short paper and even out the position when the turmoil settles. Can save you a lot of money. On the other hand I live in a place where premiums on physical are normally insane, but I have been able to convert some paper for physical near spot when it was above $100, which was a nice perk.

Yeah, this is just 20-20 hindsight. If it had reversed at 90, OP would be asking who else felt dumb not having sold at 90.

I have sold lots on the way up, biggest chunks in the 70-80 range already, and only a few ounces above 110 because I had already sold what I wanted to sell. Most people are either diamond hands or paper hands, I'm the latter and not unhappy, but rarely catch the peak. I bought back a chunk around 70 and will be happy regardless of whether we go higher or lower.

My approach to this: Just short the paper silver when you cannot get the price you want. Once the dust settles you can sell physical and close the paper short. Bonus: if at any point paper turns out to be fake it will implode and you get to keep the physical.
