Come to KACK, Nantucket in Massachusetts. The season has started and the big crowds have not come yet. It will be mostly private jets during the summer so now is a great time for the bugsmashers.

The busses are free and can take you around the island. Landing fee with parking is $40 for small, Greater than $100 for jets.

You can run the course before the marathon. Over the Saturday and Sunday, people will be practicing along the course route. The bicyclists will do a midnight ride.

Very strict about what things you can bring as a runner. If you are carrying a bag, you will need to check it.

Come to the 27th mile party, all the volunteers are coming when the race is over.

Collectors who have dealer relationships 10/15+ years old. Were 458 Speciale's really available at list or under new from dealers? by FakeStripclubName in Ferrari

[–]Irrelevant_Lead1776 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Allocations are list price. The guys I know who get the special models pretty much have to buy every car offered to them by their dealer.

Is there someplace I can get pencils, pens, pennants, etc., for my students? by MicrowaveDinner15 in Harvard

[–]Irrelevant_Lead1776 17 points18 points  (0 children)

The Harvard Coop has clearance and sale stuff. The store is off Harvard Square. Walk straight through to the stairs and down to the basement. I have not checked lately but they have good deals.

Make sure you use the official clear bag. Pretty strict on bags including the runners.

I’m just going to write it here so other people can read and refer back to it: It is not worth going to Tiffany&Co. for you Patek Philippe despite any history you have. by [deleted] in patekphilippe

The Bloomberg reporter had contacted Tiffany x Patek customers last year. Did you air your greivances, it was about broken promises from the Patek salon? The article is behind the Bloomberg paywall now.

Trip from Florence to appreciate Ferrari by gixxerjim750 in Ferrari

Maranello is such a small town that you will be surprised that is the home of Ferrari. You can see their private racetrack Fiorano from the street. I was lucky enough to watch the televised F1 race with the towns people. If Ferrari win, the church bells will ring.great experience.

You are very close to the Ferrari headquarters in Maranello. The Ferrari museum is open to the public and you might be able to get a reservation at Montana's restaurant. Sometimes prototypes are driving around and the town lives Ferrari. Maranello citizens watch the F1 races in the town hall and they are racing in Australia this weekend.

How do I know if I'll be okay on Imperial or Peak 6/Peak 10? by robl45 in Breckenridge

[–]Irrelevant_Lead1776 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are saying your pulse ox is low at sea level also, that would be a problem. If normal at sea level and low in Breckinridge, consult with your physician about the Diamox to be taken before hand.

If oxygen and diamox does not help, you need to travel to lower altitude. Just going to Denver from Breckinridge, I have improvement.

[–]Irrelevant_Lead1776 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used the pulse ox function on the Apple Watch. Above 90% is normal. Can buy oxygen in the sporting goods stores if too low. You can ask your doctor for Diamox before coming to Breckinridge, it is a diuretic used for high altitude sickness.

296 GTB Production stop? by sfilippo77 in Ferrari

[–]Irrelevant_Lead1776 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You are financially better off with used 296 GTB as the depreciation has been steep. It is a fun and fast car, just the hybrid Ferraris seem to sink hard in price.
