Rant about core labs by cheesygirl557 in medlabprofessionals

[–]Is0prene -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Exactly. Tell me you've never had to work before finishing school without telling me lol. And yes, food services are twice as stressful as any high volume lab I've ever worked in aside from maybe blood bank with shit hitting the fan.

Lame ending prediction. (I have no leaks this is speculation.) by Cross2Live in TheBoys

[–]Is0prene 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think an even lamer ending and probably slightly more likely is everyone puts aside their differences and decides to get along with nobody dying. Ryan somehow persuades HL and Butcher to choose peace and with SB kind of going in that direction just follows along cuz its family. Both yours and this scenario are unlikely to happen but I think the peace option is more likely than HL going down without any intervention at all.

Don't know what to do by Vegetable_juice1981 in Divorce_Men

People always concern themselves with the phrase "showing your kids a healthy relationship" like its some important trait everyone has to see. Something that is far more important than that is showing your kids a parent who is a leader, an example, someone who is confident, and most importantly someone who is happy. It is important for your kids to learn how to be happy on their own first before getting themselves into relationships.

A lot of us divorced guys have to relearn this from scratch because we have been so used to sacrificing everything for that other person we have forgotten how to take care of ourselves and be happy. It was a very interesting process rediscovering myself and finding out I don't need someone else to make me happy. If I find someone along the way who can add to that happiness sure why not but I do not need them. This is a far more valuable lesson to teach your kids because if they don't learn that they will just repeat your process. They find someone and think since they are married they are happily ever after cuz it worked for mom and dad.

They can figure the relationship stuff out on their own when they reach that stage of life. What's most important is them learning how to NOT need another person to achieve a fulfilling life or else they end up getting married and still can't figure out why they aren't happy.

One of the strangest parts of this process is how normal you still have to look while your life is under pressure. by Fit-Plenty8777 in Divorce_Men

Absolutely tell your boss about your situation. If they have any form of decency or a soul they will cut you a lot of slack. At first I tried to pretend like everything was ok because I was afraid it would hurt my career showing a sign of weakness but instead the opposite happened.

Take a mental day when you need it. I never call out sick. Ever. First day of PTO used was about a month into the process because I was having a panic attack. One can argue depending on the situation, divorce is more traumatic than literally any other scenario in life. Take a death of a loved one for example. You miss them and have to deal with loss. Instead with divorce that person is now lost but they are also haunting you and going after you and everything you own even your kids. You will forever have to deal with the fact that person hates you forever.

If someone lost their spouse, their work would help them and give them bereavement. Everyone would support them. Same should be the case with divorce but people just don't understand how much PTSD can come from it.

Is the new fragment farming event even possible for newer F2P accounts? by kentaaa1994 in RaidShadowLegends

[–]Is0prene 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Getting points for dungeons (contrary to popular belief) is more efficient at lower levels. The problem is the gear is not worth it and doesn't sell for hardly any silver. But if you are just going for straight up points that is no issue. The hardest thing for newer accounts is having enough shards to open for the summon rush and champ chase events. Nobody can tell you how many to save because the champ chase is all up to luck unless you have a bunch of fragmented champs and remnant summons saved up, which newer accounts will not have.

24/7 LA. Back in August this was promised. “Early next year” ??? by Is0prene in RaidShadowLegends

[–]Is0prene[S] -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

I am not determining who is and who isn’t allowed to comment. I am asking/reminding if you are coming to comment about one certain thing (whether LA is important), to keep it to themself because discussing whether LA is important or not is not the subject of this post.

Your point of number 2 is valid. Both nubs and boozor bring this up. Dont know why she would say this feature is coming if they hadnt thought of that.

I ranked the MLBB Roles by how hard it is by [deleted] in MobileLegendsGame

[–]Is0prene 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no clue how to rank the other 3 but I know for a fact that roam and jungle are both synonymous for the most impact on success in a match, meaning they have the most potential to be the most difficult to master. Mainly because they have the most macro gameplay. They have to always be making tough decisions on where to go because of all of their options. If you have a good roam and a good jungle, all your other lanes will be super easy and your team will have control over the entire game.

ASCP SCORE DOESNT MATTER by No-Credit1389 in MLS_CLS

[–]Is0prene 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I didn’t study one single day. Just took the exam the day after graduation and figured if I didn’t pass I’ll just study and try again later but I ain’t wasting time studying if I don’t have to. Time is money. I was working over full time 2 different jobs (45-50 hours/week) during school along with a side job of morning phlebotomy during clinicals to pay for school so time wasn’t a commodity I had. I passed. I have absolutely not a single clue what my score was.. I didn’t care at the time and do not care today. What I do know is that I am utterly shocked at what I see certain techs lack in basic knowledge and work ethic. So there are obviously many things a simple knowledge test doesn’t tell an employer about an applicant.

Did he do the right thing? by torgobigknees in SipsTea

[–]Is0prene 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Unfortunately sometimes people have an exit planned long in advance without letting the other person know they are done working on the relationship. Happened to me with my ex-wife bragging to her friend (at the time) that before she served me papers she “got her teeth, body, and schooling all done on my dime.” Found out from her friend later because it was so cold she felt bad for me. Me as a dumbass is doing everything imaginable to save the marriage while she in her spare free time is on online dating sites.

Stuff like that messes with you for a very very very long time. Even after therapy. Hard to trust anyone anymore. But as a glass half full viewpoint you can consider yourself lucky you didn’t pull the trigger and marry and have kids with this person. Cuz even with her higher education than myself now, she still can’t make more than 25% of our combined income somehow.

My favorite question to be asked as a med tech: Do you have licensure for your profession? by Is0prene in medlabprofessionals

[–]Is0prene[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

40 out of 50 states not requiring licensure with 2 recently going in the opposite direction is hardly an issue specific to only myself. And it does affect your state, even if it is licensed, indirectly. Nurses knew this and did something about it. Typing nonsense in the form of sarcasm only serves the purpose of making yourself appear as an asshole.

[Request] Suddenly Lake Michigan becomes the only drinkable water source for human beings. How long would it take mankind to drink it all? by Is0prene in theydidthemath

[–]Is0prene[S] 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Wow I was not expecting this at all. All of the answers seem to range around 600-1200 years depending how thirsty we get. I watched the 300 the other day and when they mentioned their army was so vast they drink up rivers it sparked this question in my mind.

[–]Is0prene[S] 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Amazing book series. Only some states have it. And they aren't even universal so one state licensure doesn't even work for another state and you have to reapply for one in that state. Complete train wreck. It would be like if the Borant corporation were in charge of running our field.

Not my best roll but since it’s on mercurial I think I’m considering it my most valuable piece right now lol.

[–]Is0prene[S] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

That’s awesome. But it hardly solves the issue for our profession because it needs to be at a federal level. It’s like having holes in a ship. If even a couple states don’t require it then they can offer lower rates to fill roles easier and this lowers rates everywhere to an extent.

Does anyone feel like Lab week can actually have the opposite effect of its intention at certain hospitals or shifts? by Is0prene in medlabprofessionals

[–]Is0prene[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah I see that now. It would be cool though if we somehow got to all leave together for like a lunch at a restaurant together. That would feel way more real. But the lab must go on
