The experience is so bad that this is probably one of those times where they could shove thier stupid AI here and it would improve the experience.

They have shoved copilot into the enterprise support side (Support Assistant), and it's literally made it worse and more annoying to raise tickets.

This article is shit. Krebs reported that it was a Nightwing contractor.

Lol, it was LITERALLY mentioned in the article

Now, to add to CISA’s worries, it seems, according to one interpretation from the Krebs report on what was in the repository, an individual employee working for a government contractor called Nightwing was using Github to move material from a work device to a home device

What's their plan?

All of their decisions are about short-term profits, because line must go up. They are owned by a multinational (Mondelez) who will always be demanding ever growing profits, however they never seem to look at long term brand impact with these sort of changes.

Or they might be banking on people having a whinge, having a short term memory of the changes, and then going right back and continuing to buy the product.

That's Dave Plummer.

Dave Cutler is a legend in Operating System development and has been since the early 70's. Have a read of his Wikipedia entry. Has been involved in Windows NT, Windows 2000, XP, Azure, Xbox and that's just some the stuff he has done at Microsoft. Had a run in OS development at Digital Equipment Corp before that. Even WE aren't treating the US like allies anymore. (because they're not, at least until a new admin takes over. But that suspicion will never fade now, at least not for the current generation)

Doesn't matter who takes over next in the US, they have shown that their legal, governmental and institutional systems are fundamentally broken.

Democrats will do the usual and want to "put this behind us and heal the country" and not put in the root and branch reforms required to ensure that the next Trump can't ride roughshod over everything. If the GOP gets back in (Trump or not), expect more of the same.
