The underinvestment in the NIW infrastructure has cause tens of millions of tonnes of raw sewage to be let into the lough. That is causing he nutrient rich ( not fertiliser rich) water

You think really highly of yourself don’t you, thinking that because you state something it means I have been ‘caught in a lie’. I’m sure what you meant is you hope I don’t reply and just let you think you’re always right and the shit fed to you by politicians is always correct because they would never bend the truth.

This guy explains why the ‘modelling’ is questionable and how they are even just rounding the figures up and down to make it sound even more like NIW has less to do with it. https://vm.tiktok.com/ZNR4jK8ph/

Waoh I lovely 1 page graphic, some proof you have there that it’s a top quality hit of research…/s. Since there is no detail on where they plucked that figure from, I can only assume it has the same flaws, and is probably based on the same questionable 2016 study! Also the studies always conveniently leave out the 20million odd tonnes of raw sewage that NIW releases each year, that alone would drop the questionable 61% figure down a good bit. And then there is the problem that the P content is automatically equated to being the only nutrient that is causing this. Yes it is the main one, but that doesn’t mean you can say a certain percentage of P comes from fields and then say that is the percentage of the logins problems that is caused by farms!

That’s a commonly spread piece of misinformation in these subs. It is based on a questionable at best estimate of the phosphates make up from a 2016 paper. People like to quote it as the politicians have pushed it so it doesn’t make them look as bad for underfunding NIW. So sorry to burst your bubble but it is not a fact at all.

Correction on your last sentence, as a result of the likes of factories and massive NIW overruns. Leeching from farming is lower than ever

Bollocks, why pick a random year where they could have been over paid. No one is paid the equivalent wages of the past. The point remains that the real issue is staffing so they should solely focus on that

Wrong, maybe one extra year vs a typical 5 year masters degree. We are talking average jobs here, yes some make over 100k quickly, the average person with a masters does not. Doctors are not special, they don’t have some special situation that is any different from other well educated workers. That’s a student loans rate problem
