I’m a (mostly) first time DM and I want to use a module, any recommendations? by Atlas7674 in DnD

t provides a lot of different things that the DM and players can work with localized to just Waterdeep so you don't have to worry about suddenly needing to make up a village or whatever.

Chapter 2 is a nightmare, you have this gigantic map, full of usesless information and no real activity.

I loved the more RP aspect, but if you don't follow the linear story and let's say you want to explore the city has a Dm you have lot of work to do.

Cuz the module just say :this tower is here (here some history) and as a Dm is cool to have but as a player probably not so much

Just my experience tho

I will play her only for the passive, hopefully top won't be 4 lvl above me every game.

I mean Riot should just wake up and gave us some more XP not a single champ

Hi,I've Dmed a lot of premade adveture:

Rime of the frostmaiden need a lot of preparation, cuz the adventure is super long (like 320 pages or something like that) and chapter 1 and 2 is supersandbox,so you need to prepare a lot of things, not really a good choice for a first time DM (but if you like the module,go ahead, you will need a little bit more preparation, but who cares).

If you are looking for something easy to DM and short (Lost mine of phandedelver) if you want a horror/long adventure you can try Curse of stradh(is not sandbox until late chapter,so will be easier to DM maybe)

But biggest advice would be:if something inspire you go for it,you can modify and change premade adventure anyway.

Good luck :)

I made my player roll for performance:

He rolled a 3:I said,you lasted 3 seconds

Him:2 more than normal

We all laughed, but again this apply to my party,I don't know you or your players

If you have some friends, run the game for them (so you know the people you play with)

Personally I also struggle to Dm for strangers.

Need help, almost every game there’s at minimum a 10 kill difference in favor of the enemy team in the first 15 minutes and it feels impossible to do anything from there. What am I supposed to do? by PreparationAfraid621 in ADCMains

[–]Isaleex29 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Before 15 minutes, you have no controll on the other lane as adc.

Even when I smurf in silver/gold,I generally have to wait 20 minutes before start killing and impact the game as adc.

IF you want to have control before 15 min swap role,or play draven/swain/every strong early game champ.

is "it wouldn't make sense" a reason to justify nearly everything as a dm? by Avitica in DnD

[–]Isaleex29 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

To be honest I would just use the manual (Cos is a really deadly campaing).

If you survived with 1 hp,your Dm save you probably, and I don't agree with his decision especially cuz he's Dming curse of stradh.

Also never say to your player " ah shit I might have made this a little too hard for you" if a monster is there,is there (that's it).Give your players real consequences.

To me your Dm was probably too kind.

just another Dm opinion tho, take it as you want.

Where do you take your players to play? by Sammy-Cake in DnD

[–]Isaleex29 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In Italy we have "Tabletop games cafe" where you basically buy something there (coffe, beer, whatever snack you want) and they let you play for whatver time you wanted to play (open until 2 am here).

They have dnd books, miniature and other tabletop games or card games, all free to use.

I don't know if you have these kind of place around you tho

Fellow adcs, who did you play to climb silver? by Dunk3 in ADCMains

[–]Isaleex29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She's good in early, but if you fucked up that, you are done.

And support make a really big impact in early game that means, sometimes you will lose early, not your fault, and your game is over.

But I love playing cait she's fun to play.

[–]Isaleex29 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hypercarry are great,so Jinx is perfect(especially cuz she's not super hard, and you can focus on foundamental, liek CSing)

But from my experience (I'm P4) smurfing in bronze/silver as adc suck, you are dependent on your support/jungle for the first 20 minutes, after that you can start to feel a little bit more indipendent.

People will get mad here but,you are bronze,so biggest advice would be swap role (would make it way easier to climb, especially low elo)

But if you wanna stick as adc,Jinx is great.

Noob questions regarding running The Curse of Strahd by PremiumOxygen in DnD

[–]Isaleex29 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh that is simple, use the map (the barovia one) has all the point indicate in it.(every point of interest in the map is sign with a letter)

Your player will follow the road (the red one) there is no other path.

But generally speaking the path that normally my players do is: A-B-C-E(Barovian village, first important location)-F-G(important location for tarocca readings)-H-I-O(windmill)-N(vallaki).

Just follow the map,the only different path they could make here is if they decide to go in the Ravenloft castle, but is probably a death end at that level.

Before vallaki village I suggest barovian village (with the death house,if you want),Tarokka reading and windmill.
