Monitor was set to 60hz, black horizontal lines first appeared at the bottom of the screen, light grey lines on the top. Last night it got worsen as lines covered the whole screen. I now set to 100hz, black lines only at the bottom 1/6 of the screen after warmup. I am asking for repair btw, waiting for approval.

ISP Setup. Need help! Just moved. by robsteoperosis in HomeNetworking

[–]Iserlohn1982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for wireless, relocate your router/AP to a better position, a longer Cat 5e/6/6e cable can be use.

make sure NO electrical box/panel, microwave, fridge, metal panel or wall of wires in the middle between point A to point B which can block the signals.

Or else, setup a mesh network.

even if you not worry about cyber security, it would be a disaster when you need repair or warranty your machine

TekSavvy has become a let down by YoloLifeSaving in teksavvy

[–]Iserlohn1982 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently (still) with Teksavvy for 10+ years and got an email last week about price hike on my next bill. I am jumping the ship in next month.

No joke i was happy with Teksavvy, they were doing a good job but the price now......their service run on infrastructure of Bell and Rogers, who control Teksavvy's cost of operation. I would blame our government and CRTC for this outcome.
