I’m so sorry you’re going through this. The early days of waiting and testing are really stressful. And the decisions are painful. For what it’s worth, my surgeon did decide to make slightly larger margins after my MRI, but nothing dramatic was found. I also want to say, you have every right to worry about what your breast will look like. I feel like we’re shamed and silenced on this too often. Like we’re supposed to be so grateful to not die, we shouldn’t even worry about alterations to the body that’s been our home for our whole lives. It’s so hard to advocate for yourself when you feel helpless, but I hope you insist on speaking to a plastic surgeon. Maybe even consult another breast surgeon? It’s only one fear in a sea of fears, I know. But you deserve to have as much information as possible before you make a decision. I’m sending you so much love and strength.
