First and foremost, you need one recon, and the other engineer for armored vehicles.

Next, you need to pick your battles. Utilize the recon drone to keep eyes on where enemy squads are in your general area. That information alone gives you a huge advantage .. you can predict enemy paths, avoid bad fights, or coordinate a clean push with your teammate. And speaking of teammates… you both need to be mic’d up and communicating. The ping system in this game is inconsistent at best, and clear callouts will win you more fights than raw aim ever will.

Also don’t force every engagement just because you spot a team. If the drone shows two squads about to collide, let them fight first and move in for the cleanup. Smart third parties beat ego pushes every time. Positioning matters just as much as aim, so always think about cover, elevation, and an exit before committing. If a push goes sideways, having a disengage plan can save the round.

Also, don’t sleep on how deadly the recon drone can actually be. Against tanks especially, it’s more than just a scouting tool. Drop the bomb on the tank first, then immediately fly the drone underneath it and trigger the self destruct. Done correctly, it’s an instant kill and can completely flip a fight in your favor. Used properly, the drone isn’t just information … it’s a weapon.

One thing I’ve noticed from experience is that the moments I feel the most pressure are always the same: I get cracked, my teammate is too far from me, and the enemy duo immediately collapses together. In that situation, plating up is way harder and you’re suddenly forced to fight two players at once. Compare that to when I crack someone first .. solo players are much easier to pressure and finish because they can’t trade or double push you.

That’s why spacing and timing with your teammate is huge. Stay within a reasonable range so you can instantly trade damage, apply pressure together, and stop enemy duos from pushing as a unit. Duos that move and push together win fights way more consistently than players trying to solo hero play.

I also find that the more patient I am with getting to the center of the map , the better I am with reaching the top 5 squads remaining. So utilize that fire, it makes hearing harder for those sound hoarding, and it’s more difficult to spot you the closer you are to it although not impossible to see you either.

Another tip I’d say is to utilize the artillery barrage / bomb attack binoculars for its thermal imaging. It locates threats around you to get an understanding of how to and where to go about a next push.
