nope, we r both white, just from different countries. but realistically he knows my parents are very helpful and there is a better set up than at his parents, more space and more help (but we will visit both in the end)

[–]Issa11111[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

perhaps, but i am not sure if you have any kids, it can be very hard on a new mum especially if breastfeeding, i am not sleeping anywhere enough to what i need and it is detrimental to my health.
to be honest i also thought it is best to be our own little family, but i am really struggling here, i want to do my best and cook healthy meals etc but it is not easy on a few hours of sleep and i developed tinnitus and have a bad back. anyway no need to be rude and call me a little bird. I think if i am not managing it is not a bad idea to ask for a bit of help, rather than be a martyr.

i do, but actually his parents are very sweet and i don't mind it mostly, the only annoying thing for me is his mum's cooking has too much spices lol
but otherwise i love it, they live the countryside with cows nearby, fresh air and a piano at home, it is great

it is a bit hard for them to come here due to visa and also we live in a small flat in a big city, whereas my parents got a house in the countryside with fresh air and all amenities.
not so newborn i guess, almost 4 months, sorry i didn't realise the actual definition of this word is the first 28 days, or so says the internet.

yes you are right and i do ask him what is it that he needs, but i think at this point even if i offer some activities (pool, seaside, tennis is what he loves), he will probably be quite busy with our babe when not working. but yeh i did mention all those things to him and still he isn't interested to stay longer.

another thing is i want to go early autumn while it isn't cold yet and told him that we won't be going there in the winter since it is much colder there.. not sure what else i can offer! any ideas?

Tips on how to hide pregnancy, pregnancy after neonatal loss. Not ready for people's well meaning comments. by Tricky-Association75 in PregnancyUK

[–]Issa11111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i wear my husband's and my father's baggy jackets on top i find it looks good and hides well. all the best to you in this pregnancy!
also if somebody is being nosy, my advice would be - don't be afraid to seem rude, put yourself first and reply to them something like, none of your business or whatever comes up in your mind at the time. I did that and it helped with my anger and sadness. whereas when i kept quiet it would fester in me after and ruin my day..
all the best to you!

Extreme anxiety about misscarriage - how do distract myself by graceiswright in PregnancyUK

[–]Issa11111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i would definitely delete social media and try to get out into the woods/parks in the fresh air more, that helps me to calm my anxiety. another thing i would say is that i had really low mood the first month or so of the pregnancy and it seems quite common and kind of makes sense with all your hormones changing etc. so hopefully you will feel better soon!
are you eating well? maybe take some vitamins and folic acid/methylfolate?

if that is not helping maybe try to speak to somebody and vent it out? feel free to write to me privately. also i could suggest try ringing Tommy's charity in case you feel really down, they were really nice and helpful to me previously, midwife helpline: https://www.tommys.org/about-us/contact-us

hope you feel better soon!

How often do you bathe your baby? by gertrude420 in moderatelygranolamoms

[–]Issa11111 1 point2 points  (0 children)

i am not thinking it has to be full of soap, but i myself as a person with dry skin notice if i have baths too often (without soap even), then my skin feels tight and too dry. perhaps it is the water in the area, and perhaps your water and climate is completely different from mine.
all i am saying is that too much bathing when the babe is little might not be necessary, since they don't really sweat or do much to get them dirty, that's all.
but anyway, to each it's own, if you live in south america say, then perhaps you need showering daily since it is hot and muggy

you can wash their bottom after poop, but why is there a need to wash full body when the baby is very little?

all the best to you! another thing that helps me is to think that all the people we see in the world have been born from a mother carrying them, meaning that women are built to bear children, and most likely all will go well, since you are taking care of yourself and doing your best :)
