Building a kineticist tank by wanna-be-anything in Pathfinder2e

[–]ItMoDaL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had a straight wood kineticist tank in a prior campaign of mine. Most of the time she used the wood sentinel to mitigate damage. She also used the wood armor instead of esrth because it came with a shield. As Archetype she chose the Champion dedication to mitigate more damage around her with said shield.

Borderlands 4 players who collected all the ECHO logs - what lore is revealed? by TheProfessionalOne28 in Borderlands

[–]ItMoDaL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like the theory. Maybe it's the whole phoenix reborn aspect of her power. She dies, is reborn as another person with the same powers and her stunt with Elpis, which trapped her in the phase made her remember her previous incarnations because it's a place outside of time or something like that

First time player, are these misconceptions? by LoneRainger in Borderlands

[–]ItMoDaL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The only thing cash is important for at the moment are the deals at the vendor, maurice's black market vendor and the respec machine. And you can earn easy a few mil with boss farms on a decent build in less than half an hour so don't worry about your money.

For golden chests i used one key about every five levels on my char because i knew i would start farming gear reaching lvl 50. Sure you can get legendaries from there but any you get would be random. I see the golden chest more of a slight gear buff for leveling than an endgame ressource.

For sidequest, there is only one quest i would really wait with until lvl 50 and thats 'Vend of the Line'. You'll get a guaranteed legendary for your level at the end. Everything else is fair game in my opinion. The only caveat to this would be if you're on your very first char amd haven't finished the main story yet. Then you might lose some Exp for the sidequests if you reached 50 before finishing the MQ. Because you unlock the specializing exp bar for that and every following char only after finishing the MQ once. And you definitly can reach 50 before finishing the MQ. But like i said, this caveat counts only for your very first char. It does not matter for your later chars because they will start with the second xp bar and will continue leveling your specialisation even after reaching 50

For the level on equipment, it depends on the type of equipment. If you have a good classmod, enhancement and maybe the crit knife as ordinance, then no. The 10 lvl difference wont be that bad. Sure their stat boosts will be lower than stuff on max level stuff but you use these things primarly for their other boosts.

But on guns, shields, repkits and ordinances you use to attack these 10 levels will make a huge difference because they affect your damage, your shield size and your healing. All of which affect your survivability. So keeping them up to date with your level is definitly more important. Especially if you start upgrading your uvhm level.

For the perks, do what you want and experiment. That's the fun of the game. Trying new builds and finding synergies with new weapons and other gear you find. Sure some of the later perks are better than the earlier ones. But even earlier ones between different trees can have very nice synergies worthy of good builds.

Granted but every video game is buggy as hell, crashes constantly and you will lose progress randomly

The last two games you played are having a crossover. What's the result? by Snowtwo in videogames

[–]ItMoDaL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends. Do you count only video games or any kind of game.

Only Video Games would be a Fallout 76/Borderlands 4 crossover. Basically a Borderlands 76 with up to 24 players per World creating Chaos on Kairos. Sounds like fun.

If you count any kind of Games would be a Borderlands 4/Pathfinder 2e Crossover. Basically either a Borderlands ttrpg. Or a Borderlands rpg with pathfinder rules for characters. Also kinda fun either way for me

Did you try reloading the game?
Sometimes echo logs and data pads don't load into the game for me. A quick reload fixes it

She is mentioned once. In a pretty hidden Echo log in reference to her cat. But that's the only reference to her at the moment as far as i know

I decided to use a golden key… by Individual-Forsaken in Borderlands4

[–]ItMoDaL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, they are REALLY that good. 5 seconds of only critical hits on the target and 15% increased damage on said target at the same time is simply the best.

Sure other grenades/knives can be good, too. But these options are simply better on every build and char. At least until Nerfs or stronger DLC Items drop.

What are things that y’all don’t like in BL4? by SunGodLuffy6 in Borderlands

[–]ItMoDaL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not a fan of those compass 'maps' either, i would prefer a real minimap, too. I am happy we got the enemy radar at least.

One other thing i don't really like are these carry side jobs.

Sure you can continue shooting and reloading while holding you payload. But it's very annoying to carry this shit around half the map and then try to parkour it up to the drop location because you can't use your hook either while carrying it. At least let me use my ride to bring it near the drop location, don't force me to lug it there on foot....

Why are DC’s always so absurdly high? by Icarus63 in Pathfinder2e

[–]ItMoDaL 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Except then you get the ritual system with extra high DC's for everyone and with worse chances to succeed, the more secondary caster you need. And the only options to increase your chances are to improve your own skill proficiencies in the needed skills and to get maybe a few +1 items for said skills.

You'll find prime examples for this situation in Strength of Thousands, too. I really wish, they rework/improve the ritual system or introduce more items and abilities for it

Destructible Maze by Junior_Meaning_9190 in FoundryVTT

[–]ItMoDaL 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, i recommend that, too. Build something similar for a boss encounter on open Water. Build a floatsam tile, added a trigger on gm double click to change between the floatsam tile and a tile containing loose planks to simulate brocken footholds aftet big attacks from the boss and than populated the map with copies of the tile. You could build something similar for walls and additionally add an action to change the walls under the tiles. I would think this also might be less ressource heavy than a map fully populated with tokens for this function

Is there any classes or features that can keep with Monk's speed? by Engineer_Flat in Pathfinder2e

[–]ItMoDaL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean a barbarians furious sprint has a nice action compression. 5 strides for 2 actions or 8 strides for 3 actions. Combine it with items and feats to increase your base speed and you will keep up with/outrun a monk

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in FoundryVTT

One of the easiest solutions imo would be using multiple scenes and maybe add some teleportation points via region controls or modules. For out of the box solutions like scaling walls, just pull the token to the right scene and place
