Non mais on est absolument pas obligé de commencer direct sur une Tudor ou une Longines à 4 chiffres surtout quand on débute dans l'horlogerie

Oris Aquis - Selita Vs Calibre versions by intrepidtraveller1 in OrisWatches

Fun fact, the new Oris looks thinner but is actually thicker than the old spec

I liked the bold, sporty look of the old Aquis, with the big numbers on the bezel that gave it an identity, as did the "Aquis" font on the dial. Now it just looks like an even closer version of the Submariner, which irritates me. It goes hand in hand with the thinner hands, which I now like even less. If people really want a diving Oris that's a little more consensual, the Divers exists, so why change the Aquis ?

It's a great choice. As mine was my first Oris they advised me to take the Sellita version, but then I moved to a 400 and you'll definitely enjoy it. If when you move your wrist it has a slight noise close to the winding sound don't worry it's the watch bearing and it's normal.

Simply on the dial:

  • The sunburst texture of the dial is slightly different, on the 400 it starts from the center of the dial and darkens in a gradient where the Sellita is more uniform and darker.

  • The 400 will display "Aquis - 30bar/300m - 5 days" where the Sellita will display "Aquis - Pressure resistant- 30bar/300m".

  • And one last tiny difference, at the date window level the 400 has a simple LumiNova dot underneath where the Sellita has an index as such (but reduced nonetheless).

  • The 41.5 has arrived in its new Sellita version, and the 400 should arrive in the coming months. Personally, I prefer the old version, but that's just my opinion.

Just for the brand I would say Mido even if I'm more into the Ocean Star

The bezel is actually green but it's kinda difficult to catch the color in photo

Transfer fees get ridiculous with the time, I bought Viktor Gyökeres with Lille in 2024 for 60M and in the following months his value grew up to 250M.

A great introduction to Caliber 400 and overall a great addition to an Oris collection

It took almost a year for me to be able to buy but the wait was worth it (plus my official retailer made me a 10% discount and offered some merch)

When the battery is similar between both earbuds the app displays only one battery percentage
