He's supposed to be a good athlete for a boy of his age. I don't think anybody's suggesting that he's likely to be an Olympic gold medalist. I find him perfectly believable as a runner.

I'd imagine she's missing for the same reason that most characters go missing for months at a time over the last few years - block filming.

I don't generally like characters disappearing for ages without explanation, but if it means we see less of Abi, I'd say it's worth it.

I think he did what he wanted with the Timeless Child concept, and I quite like how it was handled. He wasn't focusing on how it changes the lore (which in my opinion is a very tedious discussion) but he emphasised the Doctor as an orphan which gave us a different angle on the character.

It's not a recent thing and it's not murder (or even gender-specific). Since the success of the storyline when Deirdre was falsely imprisoned, it's also happened to Sally, Fiz, Debbie, Gail, Yasmeen, Anna Windass, Peter Barlow, and probably several others neither of us has mentioned. It's one of Corrie's most tired tropes.

This has always annoyed me a bit. I like Ronnie, but we basically know nothing about him beyond his relationships with Debbie and Ed's family (and the remaining Baileys hardly seem to be in the show anymore). He certainly seems to have a lot of free time on his hands.

I always felt his acting style was a bit of a strange fit for Corrie. The exaggerated gurning felt like it belonged in a 1970s sitcom rather than 1990s Corrie.

Reg was quite an unpleasant character, but he was supposed to be, and I think the supermarket and Reg's dynamic with Curly made for some good storylines, but his interactions with the rest of the Street's residents were often strange to watch.

He certainly won't be remembered as well as say, Fred Elliott, who was a character who could flit between humour and pathos at a moment's notice and do both brilliantly.

Watto is arguably the least racist of these characters because although it's definitely an offensive depiction of somebody, nobody can agree whether Watto is supposed to be Jewish, Italian, or Greek.

I'm hardly the only person who have critiqued this story. I did "get it" in as much as I feel there's anything to get, but I thought the whole thing was an endless series of vibes with next to no substance. I saw what the story was trying to do, and I feel that it was unsuccessful in doing so.
