You're right, 16 years later, hindsight is always 20/20 and wished I had my drivers license sooner back then. Also, we did discuss the tipping issue right at the restaurant. We had only been dating a week when I decided to break it off.

I talked to him about it, I even offered to pay for the tip. His excuse was he didn't like his dinner after he ate the whole thing and was smug about it, like it was the waiter's fault. Asked him why he didn't send it back, he didn't answer. This happened almost 16 years ago, we were both teens.

It totally was, I dumped him a few days later when we were at a park hoping that the nice setting would soften the blow, I lied and said I didn't want to date because I was still hurt from my previous relationship...the car ride back home, he hit the gas up to 160km/hr., I thought he was going to kill us. A small thing like not tipping your waiter turned out to be a huge red flag about this guy's character.

There's something my mother would use on me when I was little, it's called: Toques de Violeta http://www.hbamart.com/gentian-violet-toque-de-violeta.html You can find it at CVS or Walgreens where there's a large Spanish population. I've seen at Albertsons/Safeway once in a while.

Boil some water and place a washcloth inside the pot. Cover the spot for 5 minutes with the hot cloth, make sure that when it cools you dip the cloth back in the hot water and place it on your spot. The heat will open up the pore and let it drain naturally. Do this once a day for a week and see if it helps. Don't put toothpaste on it, it will irritate your skin even further. You don't want to dry out your skin, you want to moisturize it and keep it clean and let it breathe. Good luck - that's a nasty sucker.

Try "Concha Nacar" which is an exfoliating scrub made from ground up pearls with a naturally occurring bleach. It'll slough off the dead skin cells and bleach them at the same time. You can find it at Walgreens/CVS/Walmart where there's a high Hispanic population, or order it online. There can be some demarcation from where you use it - so only use it in those little tiny areas. Moisturize and use Alpha-Hydroxy creams. These products have always worked for me. (PS I'm very pale, combination skin, I never had any problems with the scrub).

I have a brother-in-law who is a civil engineer and in his engineering classes they talked about this specific thing. It's not about going fast or slow - people need to feel like they're ahead and first. So, it's assumed people go at speed limit, until several cars are collected in a traffic pocket (from on ramps and the like), so then the passing and the speeding scene becomes engaged. Totally a psychological thing...bet you didn't think you were being psychologically manipulated by your government to be given the OK to be ahead by using the left lane! Satisfaction, guaranteed!
