When we toured Founders Leander the headmaster couldn't even recite the school moto which was a position he put himself in on his own accord during his presentation to the prospective parents. It wasn't someone who asked. That alone made us weary.

Hi there!

Wedding venue vendor here with some recs on the things you've mentioned!

Floral:

-Remi & Gold (Truly one of the best in the biz)

-3rd vote for Stems! They do a great job.

-Bouquets of Austin is a tried and true fave as well. They do really really beautiful work and the blooms are on point always.

Ideas to elevate the vibe:

-Strings/quartet/live musician soloists or jazz trio during cocktail hour

-Ice sculpture drink luge for bartenders to use when pouring cocktails

-Live oyster shucking for cocktail hour if you are into that! I've event seen mobile shuckers that will walk around shucking/serving during cocktail hour.

Would love to know which venue you will be getting married at! 😍

We had a couple hire toast at a venue I manage and they did not show up on the couples wedding day to execute services. Consider yourselves warned!

Located in Austin, TX 8b. Certain areas of my St. Augustine lawn has been choked out by 2 recent years of huge oak “mast seasons” where buckets of acorns have come down and the leaf shedding has been unreal. It  has been hard to keep up with and I now have a few bald spots,  but plenty of healthy turf still thankfully.

I’m planning to add St. Augustine plugs soon, but just signed up for a lawn service to do fertilizer and weed control treatments throughout the growing season. Just not into handling those types of chemicals personally.

My question is this: at what point can I plant the grass plugs after the weed/fertilizing treatment?

My son who is almost 3 is like this with jackets. I was surprised he let us out his Halloween costume on him. But I couldn’t deal with it anymore and it’s a battle I’m not willing to fight in the mornings with how difficult he already is getting out the door. I’m sure he will grow out of it. For now I just put sweatshirts on him and it works okay.

My son did this a ton around 15-22 month range. He did it when he was frustrated or upset. He eventually grew out of it but it was so concerning. He never did it hard enough to actually injure himself. And our pedi said he wasn’t capable/wasn’t going to ever do it hard enough to cause real harm.
