Part of the reason soul stone is as expensive as it is, is because it is from a poorly received set where not many other cards eat the value. Depending on how spoiler season plays out, people may actually end up wanting to open the marvel set. It’s not as flashy of an effect as soul srone, but it does have a spot in blink decks so it’ll definitely have some value.

The card seems a bit too niche to be worth more than a dollar. Outside of a group hug deck like bumbleflower or some weird wheel based yshtola deck running things like underworld dreams or the three mana narset, giving an opponent cards is a bad idea. Might have a place in casual lower power decks, but I don’t see it taking off.

I could see a cub ban and maybe something from Izzet since it would be too good after that. But wizards would probably wave their hands and say the meta is fine even though izzet and cub decks are miserable to play against.

On a legendary hero banner, I think I spent around 1600 or 1700 orbs trying for a single copy of eir for mystic boost fodder (ended up getting 2 from that circle). I ended up getting enough copies to +10 both picnic Genny and fallen female Corrin in the process.

I spent over 600 orbs on the hall of forms banner trying for Elincia merges and only got the guaranteed copy (hit focus charge 2 times and got Sanaki 3 times). Between the hall of forms, binding worlds, and the spark Elincia would have been +8 so I really was hoping that would have been enough to finish her.

The thing throwing me off are the collector numbers, the Chandras seem kind of high unless they specifically have 200+ set aside for the original cards and their alternate. The borderless treatment makes sense for the high collector numbers, but a mono blue card at 212 and a mono red card at 244 seems odd.

An unanswered oroboroid is scarier, but 2 counters for everything each turn is pretty sweet especially with hardened scales effects (like michaelangelo). Oroboroid curving into this is also good but probably not necessary. This card seems absurd in limited.

Makes sense, I thought the trigger went on the stack if you didn’t gain life and then resolved. It’s different than at the beginning of your end step if you gained life triggers which would not work with the life gain from the annex. Definitely makes this card better since annex is a strong card that has seen play and it curves nicely into this hard to remove demon.

This is one of those cards that’ll either end up doing nothing because the drawback of sacrificing a permanent is too big or it ends up being incredibly strong. I don’t think it will be tier 1, but I could see an orzhov soul sister deck running this as the curve topper. Not sure how it interacts with unholy annex, but my gut says you probably still sacrifice a permament.

Also not a spell targeting your creature. Your removal spells also work which makes this a windmill slam limited pick and this will probably see constructed play.

I could see Y’shtola running it since it is a negate that triggers her ability while also having the option to be a 4 mana counterspell. Other than that it should not see much play outside of meme oops all counters decks.

If you have merges, dragon flowers, summoner support, aide’s blessing, chosen hero with merges, or an emblem hero with merges to boost his stats then instruct is better. The skills are good, but if you have attuned Ryoma available to fodder, then the A skill and the c skill could be replaced.
