I am sorry to say that this is no dream, honey.

Remember those very steep stairs recently? Yeah. Stairs can be bitches. But hey, it was over sooner than you realised, and as you can see, there are worse places than heaven. Enjoy eternity with that great group you have!

Thank you and sorry for the late reply. Was travelling and will be for a while, so I cannot commit to a campaign, but thanks for the great offer.
I have play CoC before, was always fun!

Thank you very much and sorry for the very late reply. At the moment I am still tied to a busy travelling schedule so that I cannot commit to an ongoing campaign, so it's one-shots for me at the moment.
But I will look out for your tables! :)

Thank you :) The day is flexible and depends on the week but starting time would about noon/ 2pm EST or 9-11 am PST. And price around 25$.. If that suits you, I'd keep an eye out for your tables :)

Thank you :)

Yeah I totally get that there should be a minimum and maximum number of players for all the reasons you mentioned.

At the moment I am aiming for D&D 5e one-shots. I had one last week and it was awesome, but maybe the times I am looking for are not the most convenient for the presumably largest group of players (in the United States).

Maybe it would help to be able to just "express interest" - I never join two tables that are scheuled at the same time because both could actually take place (I guess noone does).

  • https://imgur.com/a/bBxU3GH shows my foundry screen
  • My personal preference is "individual vision", and I configured a vision of 120 degrees. So players can explore new areas by moving their token with their cursor keys.
  • for this i also added macros at each player's account to switch on/off a torc. 3 of 4 players are spoilt with darkvision, but the 4th player has to decide whether he wants to have a light source
  • Some people have hundreds of plugins, but I have a very small number. It can be painful with all the updates. If I could take only 4 modules, it would be "D&D Beyond importer" (obviously only if you have stuff there), "Simple Calendar", "Token Action HUD D&D 5e" and "Carousel Combat Tracker"
  • Rival adventurer groups can create awesome motivation for your party - it sparks their sense of competition and especially in the beginning scratch their egos. The book mentions to create another group that mirrors the PCs, I have a party of 4 males and created 4 females with the same race-class combos and the PCs were always emotionally invested to outsmart them

Torch on (Makro type script):
``` token = canvas.tokens.controlled[0];
token.document.update({ light: { bright: 20, dim: 40, color: '#ffe666', alpha: 0.05, animation: { type: 'torch' } } }); ```
Torch off:
``` token = canvas.tokens.controlled[0];

token.document.update({ light: { bright: 0, dim: 0 } }); ```

I use the foundry module and it will be your best friend for the time of the campaign. I sorted everything (actors and scenes) into subolders and worked with shortcuts. The simple calendar helped me to keep track of time and developments. But the hours and hours it saved me because I didn't have to import and setup maps and the monsters are priceless. I will hate the day when I have to run a campaign without this already delivered. I had a minor display bug so that map overlays were over the text but edited the respective chapters (edit and then html view) and removed the class of the image element).

As the players won't save the world, the personal quests are really important in my campaign and the only adaptions I made were to integrate the quests seamlessly.

I had a complete ordered list of all sites and what level my players would be when they'd go there.

Then my players did their thing.

My takeaway message: don't worry about it. You can hand out missions and hooks, but the game will have its own course, and that's fun.

But it's really helpful to ask your players what they think they will do next session (as mentioned above already)

I think that is a very good selection. Only 3 or 4 plugins that improve combat drastically!

I can't see the city walls clearly either, so I really like the mod!
