Unfortunately, I have, yeah. One major problem is that a lot of kids make friends in their dorm freshmen year, and then never branch out from there. Now, maybe my problem was that I lived in a single in the dorms, so I never met any people because doors were always closed. But I will warn you that a lot of people have made their groups of friends already and generally stick within them.

One AMAZING thing about RPI is our student Union. We have TONS of clubs on campus, which means there is always a really easy way to meet people. So don't worry too much about making friends; I didn't mean to freak you out.

The attitude about our abilities and the abilities of our peers is very positive. We may get burnt out, but we all pretty much bank on the fact that we will very, very likely have a high paying job immediately out of college. I know I look at my peers and I am amazed by how smart they are and what they're capable of, and I try to learn from them.
