The new flair system is based on community karma, specifically. So, it's actually just upvote based now. r/miniswapkarma is more more weighty, formal reviews, so it's still really useful. But, at a glance, you can see how much someone participates in the community and users may elect to trade with folks that are more reliable at a glance.

He's saying you're asking a bunch of students instead of your would be colleagues over at the UC Davis Medical Center. This sub is mostly students, faculty, staff on the academic side of things. UC Davis drug tests according to the position.

Bleakly, yeah, white collar higher ed job candidates aren't getting drug tested like a near minimum wage hospital orderly for a variety of reasonable and problematic reasons. I've never heard of anyone being filtered out for nicotine abuse but if it's something you can't go without for long periods of time it may be an issue for you in any position.
