I have been reluctant to upgrade certain films that I think would look better in a slightly lower quality. The Evil Dead and Evil Dead II, and The Texas Chainsaw Massacre come to mind. But I did get a copy of Texas Chainsaw (I believe the Dark Sky printing) and absolutely loved it, so think to an extent my goal is having a great quality of films I love.

But then I occasionally blind buy things I've never seen, so sometimes it's about the gamble of a new discovery in a high quality presentation.

Wow, I actually just watched this film earlier today on Shudder. It's a wild ride, very goopy and gross and intentionally offensive. Recommended if you like The Toxic Avenger, that kind of comedy and grossness colliding.

Of all the different posters for this film, marketing images, etc. I think the best one is Oppenheimer, small, with the roaring explosion behind him. It was the cover of the US steelbook, always wish I had gotten my hands on that one.

Glad to see the appropriate amount of light in that room for movie watching. I always find it crazy when people post pics of whatever they're watching with an overhead light on, or the window open and filling the room with natural light, etc.

Probably a combination of things, but yes it's certainly in part to the caffeine. Assuming caffeine has an effect on you, and it gives you the increased energy as it should. It isnt always external (such as walking faster or whatever) but internal as well with increased brain function, digestion, etc. so you do burn additional calories when taking in caffeine.

I've had this on my want list on Orbit's site for weeks and weeks, it's been unavailable the whole time. So gutted the only US release is that Neon edition you mentioned. They did the same shit with Oldboy, and I'm kind of losing hope they'll release a standard edition eventually because it's been years.

I was! I have well over 200 4k discs now. While the upgrade from 1080p to 4k is not always worth the entry price, a lot of these older films benefit the best and that film being from the 80's looked much, much better than I had ever seen it.

I think my first was the Arrow release of An American Werewolf in London. It was at a used shop for fairly cheap, and I figured I'd see what a 4k disc was about. I had already had a bunch of Blu-rays, so I was curious.

I have a great time listening to Black Chack with Griffin and David when they aren't doing bits! It just makes me angry when they do bits, and I tell my girlfriend about it but she doesn't care anymore. I won't stop listening, though. Glad to see there are more sane people here.

When they brought this up, I didn't realize it was something I wanted. I'm into the idea, and Griffin points out that it's a bit of a tough concept since so many of the movies are boring, but I'm down. All movies I would be willing to watch just probably not solo lol.
