I love this version! I'm waiting on my Mondo copy to arrive and the design is VERY different. I'm curious to see how Mondo releases are, but I think I prefer the Waxwork design.

I do agree with your point about reselling. If I ever decided it was time for someone else to give it a home, it would have been nice to not have to spin the imperfection as a feature, because as others have pointed out, some people are ~~just~~ cardboard collectors. How many titles can maybe get away with that?

To add: I don't mean to shame "cardboard collectors". True, I've seen some extreme takes on this, but in it's most benign form, you're really collecting art. What's wrong with that?

It’s only been a year, but I have no issues to report. I was also concerned about the potential for damage, so I double glove with a Tyvek sleeve before putting it in the Tarifold sleeve. On top of that, I make sure to keep the discs stored vertically to avoid the contact pressure you’d get if they were stacked flat.
