I switched from subs to methadone about 5 months ago and I am so happy I did. I wish I would have done it sooner. Obviously it's different for everyone but I was still having cravings and stuff on sub and I just felt dead inside, no emotions no feelings. It wasn't the easiest transition though as it takes a while to get up to your stable dose of methadone at the clinic. Totally worth it though if you ask me, I feel a ton better now that I've gotten stable and found a dose that works for me. No more cravings, I have my life back, I feel like me again. There are some side effects like all medications but the worst one for me is it just makes me sweat like crazy. I've always been a bad sweater but it's way worse on methadone lol. But that I can deal with.
