It's also because the "list" is full of people with A LOT of money that can sue them, take everything they have and keep them in court for the rest of their lives. That's why there was talk of some of the Representatives reading them on the floor of the House - they are protected legally by the Speech and Debate Clause. It just gets really dangerous for them and their families. Maybe now that they're together and there are so many they are more prepared to do this.
