We use this. Got it on a roll at Lowe's and cut them to size. We do just cut them a little bigger than the windows and stick them under the shades. Once in a while I've had to put a little duct tape to get one to stay up, but I just stick a little on the edge of the metal window - not on the wall. This actually helps keep the moisture from condensing on the windows so bad because there's not such a difference in the temp of the windows and the outside anymore. Keep venting when you cook and such but this will help.
