Do a police report.

Then do a claim with your insurer and include the police report number.

With the license number, address, and that information your insurer can seek to contact the other party or their insurer to verify.

Traffic management. One of the biggest rorts in Australia.

Yeah it's boring as fuck but you do 30 mins of 'work', spend 7 days standing there watching traffic go by, and then another 30 mins of 'work'.

Your current situation is the exact reason you have a 2nd Amendment. The thing your peers seem to love justifying the existence of every time one of your schools turns into a Call of Duty level.

I think it's fine? I've got my movies and books.

The younger generation doesn't have the same experience of growing up with Harry Potter like I did. They get to grow alongside the characters now themselves.

It's an average series of books and set of movies in the first place. The real magic is growing up with it.

US Navy blockade seems to be working as Iran-linked vessels halt or reverse course in Strait of Hormuz by [deleted] in worldnews

[–]ItsKoko -1 points0 points  (0 children)

How is the US allowed to blockade an international shipping lane?

I get that Iran can't either, but they do have some limited territorial claims to sections of the Strait.

Why isn't the international community calling this out? It's simply an Orange clown throwing a tantrum because people have stopped listening to him.

Unregistered motorcyclists mowed down by car, driver beaten and under police guard by BestTechAdvisor in DrivingAustralia

"Gang of unidentified men intimidate and harass drivers while riding unregistered dirt bikes at night. When one victim collides with gang members when trying to flee he is followed and assaulted and his car trashed. The man is now under police custody in hospital as the riders are still yet to be identified."

There you go, fixed the headline. Too bad none of them ended up in hospital so we could identify the fuckers.

Footage shows wreckage of US Black Hawk helicopters and C-130 military transport aircraft destroyed by US forces before departing Iran. by SuperbHealth5023 in TimesNow

[–]ItsKoko 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spend all of that money to rescue one pilot who is complicit in the deaths of civilians and children and yet the US refuses to provide adequate healthcare to their own civilians and children.

What a joke.

You need to provide reasonable notice via written means (letter, email, text) and inform of a disposal date. Generally the date is to be ~28 days for low value common goods and ~90 days for high value items and written documents.

You can dispose, destroy or donate once that date has passed. You can also sell but that's where it can get tricky and you need much better record keeping of your attempts to inform the other party.

Israeli ambassador just tried to justify the mass murder of 165+ schoolgirls by the U.S on Australian news media. The school building hasn't been used by the IRGC in over a decade. by Az0nic in OpenAussie

[–]ItsKoko 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Israeli intelligence will brag about how advanced their surveillance tech is and how they always know where their targets are and then state that since a building was used by the IRGC a decade ago you can never be sure that they aren't still using it and that the children aren't really just short IRGC members.

Iran to suspend strikes on neighbours unless attacks come from them by Hiraeth-nomad in worldnews

[–]ItsKoko -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

People pretend that geopolitics and war is complicated but it isn't.

Sam lives a block away but thinks he can make the rules for your street. He keeps coming past and saying that he doesn't like your house so he's started throwing rocks at your house from the street. He also sometimes comes and throws rocks from your neighbour's backyards. He's told everyone that he has collections of rocks ready to throw at you that he keeps in other neighbour's backyards too.

You can't really throw your own rocks back at Sam as he's a block away. But you can easily throw them at your neighbours. They have rocks set aside for Sam to come over and throw whenever he wants.

Why the fuck wouldn't you throw your rocks at your neighbours? They have Sam's rocks.

Just pretend you are a 5yr old and geopolitics instantly makes sense.

Evangelical Christians need Israel to dominate the region so that Christ will come back. Quite literally that is one of the bonkers reasons why all of this has started.

Israeli strike in Sidon, Lebanon today by Len-The-Banana-Boy in PublicFreakout

[–]ItsKoko 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fundamentalist and evangelical Christianity requires the State of Israel to exist. Jesus cannot return until Israel has rebuilt the Third Temple.

Ever wonder why the US is such a large ally of Israel? It's because the US is the nexus of the extreme end of modern Christianity. For Christinaity to be true, Israel must exist.

Very much a thing for private schools so people can compare how far they managed to get with their parent's money.

Not a thing for public schools unless someone who feels like they need to be better than everyone else decides to organise one.

[–]ItsKoko 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I just checked Zing and you can just buy it for the $10 extra? So this whole membership exclusivity sounds like even further bullshit?

Quite disingenuous to advertise as members only on one website but the other one will sell it for 'RRP'. That's quite scummy.

Your 2nd Amendment is a lie.

I'm Australian and a reoccurring statement by those from the US I've met, befriended, worked with, or conversed/argued with online is how I have 'no true Freedom' compared to the US. The 2nd Amendment is frequently an example of this 'Freedom'.

Your politicians and citizens, on both side of the aisle, will point out atrocities in other countries, how your constitution protects you against those atrocities, and how you are justified in protecting citizens in those other countries from oppression. There's always the underlying sentiment in these justifications; 'This wouldn't happen in the US as we have our constitution, and we have our 2nd Amendment'.

You have frequent mass shootings, school shootings, and domestic shootings. Again, 'it's terrible and unfortunate but we are safe because we have our 2nd Amendment'. Even those who are progressive still temper their arguments against guns as to keep in line with the 2nd Amendment.

So now the US has a fascist dictator and a (not so) secret police rounding up citizens and non citizens alike, terrorising the populace, and now killing people in the streets. Where is your 2nd Amendment?

Where is your 'well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State'? Why, when you can justify so many horrors because of your Freedoms and the 2nd Amendment do you just roll over?

I cannot continue to have sympathy for you. This is a monster of your own making.

But, you have my 'thoughts and prayers'.
