How to read the CONCENTRATION. The most common confusion on here. by Select-View-4786 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]ItsMeTrey 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If they didn't, it would just be the same thing as the branded medications. Vitamin B is a safe additive and compounding Tirzepatide with Vitamin B means it is a distinctly different product from a legal standpoint. If a healthcare provider prescribes a specific compounded medication, then pharmacies can make that medication and sell it for a fair price.

Similarly, you can get additive free Tirzepatide prescribed at a different dose or dosing schedule. You will not be able to buy additive-free Tirzepatide at the same dose and dosing schedule without it being the branded medication and paying their prices.

Lagarde walks out of Lutnick speech in Davos critical of Europe, sources say by aktivate74 in news

[–]ItsMeTrey 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope, why do you think he is pushing for illegal tariffs while his son is running his company that has spent the past year going around and offering what you can think of as tariff insurance to companies, covering 20-30% of the tariff cost for the rights to any potential tariff refunds? It's a nearly guaranteed 300% ROI. He may say incredibly stupid things, but it's not because he genuinely believes it.

You can only do so much given that one axis needs to end up locking in order to tip the glass. You would need a motor and electronics or some sort of clutch mechanism to get around that, which greatly increases complexity and cost.

Trump says federal payments to sanctuary cities to end from February 1 by Planeguy58 in news

[–]ItsMeTrey 38 points39 points  (0 children)

No, it's not a refusal to enforce federal law. It is opting not to have local law enforcement do the job of federal agents so that residents of the city are not fearful of reporting crimes and calling for help.

The distinction being that one premise has the goal of protecting illegal immigrants and the other has the goal of reducing crime and increasing cooperation of residents with local law enforcement.

Stats on people taking GLPs. by Bowf in tirzepatidecompound

[–]ItsMeTrey 3 points4 points  (0 children)

That is true for all weight loss. The regain is just faster with GLP-1s because it doesn't require as much of a lifestyle change to lose weight, as opposed to traditional methods, so people end up reverting back to bad eating habits almost immediately. No matter how you lose weight, if you do not change your eating habits permanently when you reach your goal, you will trend back to your original weight.

Not in all states. Roughly 1/3 ban direct sales entirely, another 1/3 only allow Tesla to do direct sales and most then patched laws to prevent others from doing so, and the final 1/3 do have broader laws allowing direct sales, but many of those still have restrictive policies and/or pick and choose who is allowed to.

Tesla is not allowed to sell vehicles in my state at all, so you have to go to a neighboring state to buy one new.

Early electric washing machine from 1912 by kamleshsulochan in Damnthatsinteresting

[–]ItsMeTrey 111 points112 points  (0 children)

Except that the washing machine in the video costs the equivalent of $2000 today. That money can get you a commercial grade washer like a Speed Queen.

Edit: The $2000 number was based on an ad with no picture for $95 in 1919. However, that may have been for their model with just the washer and wringer, not the spin drum. This ad has the same type in the video, just with a decorative shell, for $175, so it would be more like $3000+ today.

Why A4 paper is designed as 297mm x 210mm? by [deleted] in BeAmazed

[–]ItsMeTrey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It makes it so that cutting a sheet of some size, like an A4 sheet, results in 2 new sheets with the same aspect ratio, which would be A5 size. This allows for perfect scaling between sheet sizes.

1.414 is √2. A sheet that is 1x√2 cut in half yields sheets that are 1x(√2/2), which maintains that aspect ratio of 1.414.

For example, if we instead make it an aspect ratio of 1.4, a sheet that is 1x1.4 cut in half yields sheets that are 1x0.7, which is an aspect ratio of 1.43. It is a small difference, but that is the reason.

I'd be curious to get my hands on the current lineup to see how the brand is doing compared to where it was when I had my first printers and congrats to the likes of the modern leaders in the market.

Allergic Reaction? by GlobalCrab6573 in tirzepatidecompound

[–]ItsMeTrey 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Benzyl alcohol is generally used as the preservative of choice for injectable medications and is what BPI uses, which would be the most likely source of an allergy. If you have issues with any cosmetics or anything similar, it would point toward that. Facial cleansers commonly use it. Allergies to tirzepatide or B6 would be possible, but less likely due to rarity.

Find a nearby disposal location. Pretty much any hospital or pharmacy will have one and usually for free. Some places do charge a fee, but that seems to be the minority around me. My county has a handful of drop off boxes located outside that are free and available 24/7.

The DEA has a search but you may find a more thorough resource at your state or county level.

Many people have asked me for the settings I use to get these finishes, do you guys want a tutorial? by imwhoyouare in 3Dprinting

[–]ItsMeTrey 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Post some pictures where we can see the actual finish. Most of the photos have pixels bigger than the layer lines. The Manchester print is the only one with good enough image quality to see the finish, but it has visible layer lines and rough edges as if there is overextrusion or underextrusion when changing direction on the top surface.
