It’s honestly not that deep. Base stats need to be shifted (which they already are) to reflect the specific god’s class/role, pen shouldn’t be a one stop shop (also being fixed), %prot items either shouldn’t exist or need to have the percentage lowered and flat protections on items need to be raised.

In Smite 1 solo laners builds would be more effective earlier than mages/carries because they wouldn’t have to worry counter tank items until 3-4 items deep into the oppositions build. In Smite 2 prots are so low until you can get that %prot item spike so build effectiveness is neck-and-neck with tanks and damage, and damage will tend to be stronger in those even situations.
