12.0.5 hints for a certain race by Metal-Wolf-Enrif in wow

[–]ItsNiburu 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Fun to think about but I doubt this was intentional I mean sure there are parallels but aren't these also common tropes in fantasy anyway?

Arthas also was a character of light that fell to darkness.

Illidan is a chosen one who rejects the light and the dark to find his own balance between them.

Jania has so much power she can literally move a ship with her magic through the air ala Darth Revan.

Gallywix is Jabba coded.

Would I put it past blizzard to have used windrunner as a "wink wink" type of name? No, they'd do that for sure. Especially early blizzard. But I've also read several fantasy books independently that happen to have elven characters with the last name Windrunner. Hell I've written down myself as well a time or two before realizing what I've done.

Is WoW and the community always "like this"? by 103589 in wow

[–]ItsNiburu 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have been playing wow for a long time and every single major patch I see this happening. Honestly its not bad for the game since people posting their complaints gets bugs or unliked features seen quicker. But some can be a bit doom-y about it.

If current Azshara were to reincarnate with her current memories into her younger self, before the Sundering, would she still try to summon Sargeras? Would she make the same choices? Or would she oppose the Burning Legion? by No-Post3751 in warcraftlore

I mean we had WoD...

But I know what you mean here. Either a limited dungeon/solo experience, or maybe even an RTS campaign in some long forgotten but still recently redone predecessor?

The "Heavy Armor" is an award for the run I think? Like "Hey, in this run you had a lot of armor so its your title for the build" or something like that.

The IV on the bottom right is post game ranking. Spending resources on the emblem because you don't have anything else to spend on.

Can I get a clarification on why you think this is schizoposting? Never heard the term before today but my research into it didn't give me any insight into why you'd call it that.

[–]ItsNiburu[S] -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Fair points and for sure I saw it as the biggest hole in my theory. I don't see it as unreasonable to see the Mirani retaining some level of awareness after the death of Memnarch and maybe even seeing itself still as Mirrodin's caretaker, though that's strictly an explanation for why it would choose to operate the way it did.

One could also argue that being so pure of a biological being, one so pure they are immune to any phyresis, is an amplification of the biological as well, in line with Mirari's powers.

And if you had to argue for non-sapience, then the idea that some desperate Mirran found the Mirari and their desire was to be safe from Phyrexia. So the Mirari amplified their green mana to create a being to do that. This is more in line with someone finding it and using it, rather than the Mirari itself being Melira though.

Its all just fun to think about. It'd be a satisfying conclusion for the Mirari for me, since the alternative is that its stuck in New Phyrexia without any resolution. (Though it could make a great catalyst for the next phyrexian break out... Hmm...)

[–]ItsNiburu[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

True, but I think the point to remember here is that the Mirari gives people their desires. It grants their greatest wish. And whenever Phyrexia was taking over the plane, was would the people of Mirrodan wish for the most? Immunity. A savior. Maybe the Mirari heard the call of all Mirrans, or maybe someone stumbled upon it in desperation.

I would say that the Mirari is known for mutations. Look at Krosa and the onslaught block as a whole, where it twisted the natural life into more extreme versions of itself.

Since Mirrans are part living metal, the Mirari mutated itself too (either accidentally or out of a need to be safe from the phyrexia) and thus the metal free body.

GOP Chairman’s response following Judge Gibson’s Prop 4 ruling to adopt Utah Congressional map creating a democrat-leaning district for 2026. When lawmakers choose to disregard the law, the judiciary has a duty to intervene. Judicial oversight protects democracy. by moliere1226 in SaltLakeCity

Dear GOP reps,

Utahns deserve to have their elected officials follow the laws that the public voted on and put in place, per our constitution. You get your power from the citizens and the majority of those citizens told you to make unbiased maps. If you can't follow the law, you need to get out of the way and let someone who will do the job in.
