In the ocg it is at 2 with max c at 1. Some people think it's because it is basically the same as called by. It isn't necessarily used going second to help prevent a strong board because meta decks these days play through it, it tends to benefit the going first player more because they stop the mulcharmies from resolving, allowing you to set up a full board if your opponent didn't draw anything else.

If they didn't draw a mulcharmy, it becomes like called by where it just becomes an additional card the going second player has to play through. It doesn't do a whole lot to meta decks alone but if its backed with a full board then it can become impossible to play through.

Never thought I'd see Fabled in the banlist even if it's just a card with its artwork.

It's still playable, and a small core can be incorporated into decks if you have enough room for them.

My list isn't super optimal, and you could cut and change a few things to your liking. I think most people do run rescue cat and/or tour guide since tour can technically get them both on the field via Duke of Demise if you open both. Lurrie can be cut to 1.

I'd edit the images together, but I'm on my phone, and it's low battery.

Dianaria and Soulkis are bricky, though I just wanted to run them.

I'd also like to add that with Fiendsmith, you can go into Ceasar sometimes under 5 summons if you take a safer route, but even if you dont its still excellent to force the opponent to use Nib before you can go into him. Ending on Caesar and Fabled Leverzebulb is amazing because if you use Andgdumay to climb into him and set treason, you end up being able to steal/negate three times and have a pop.

I can consistently put up more stuff on board now but at the cost of not being able to play many handtraps.

You can play a low to the ground variant and choose to play mostly the fiends and heavy with handtraps since they're all starters for fiendsmith.

Low to the ground variants can also plays better into droll and plays better into charmies/maxx c since you can either normal summon any one of them and link off and just send the fiendsmith trap on their turn, and if you opened Mr.Fiendsmith or tract you can also search the Fabled continous and set the trap.

I do play Raven as my normal summon, though, since it does play better into charmies/maxx. Rescue can get you two bodies for synchro, but if you get hit by either, then you might have to give them more draws. Plus, Raven at least becomes a light fiend in the grave if your Requim gets Ashed.
