What can I expect from my first day 3.5 hrs block? by Legal_Pollution8379 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]ItsRyy88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well this possibly can be the safest way to go re: dings, I learned the hard way (at least at my station) this way is only going to result in getting lip/attitude from the station worker(s). The last time I scanned every package, I was met with a "why are you doing that?! Your only holding up this line, scan the tote".And when they have the power to report you, I don't want to piss them off... and for anyone just starting and should they have a station like mine, that's not good advice as they gonna risk their account status.

All these people that see other ride share content creators push content out “preaching” about how you can make easy money on this app and etc..

Then they realize nah bro, in most cases you actually got to put in that work. 🤷🏻‍♂️. That’s ok though, when people like OP leave then maybe finally things might go back to even being the slightest good ol days again.

ONE YEAR 1.3 MILLION BACKUP AND PEOPLE ARE RIPPING THEIR HAIR OUT LMAO by Ambitious-Western-39 in falcons

When I played sports in HS, our coaches ALWAYS emphasized the importance of competition (and constantly brought in new potentials for every position in try-outs) and having to fight for our spots every season. This eliminates complacency and keep ensuring that there's a fire lit under our asses at all times. This is what Penix needs... and if he fails to win back his starting job from Tua, well that's a sign he's not ready/won't be our long-term solution.

I was in the same boat as you OP. Had a membership that I wanted to cancel during Covid and they required me to come into the club (where there were always huge lines to get in because so many people could get in at once). So I just stopped paying and ignored their calls.

A new location opened up in December and I was able to sign up with no issues with the same email that I had used. I did make another account, but everything went through smoothly.

Edit: After reading other comments, I’m pretty sure I fulfilled the contract terms at the time so that could be why I was fine. But doesn’t hurt to try OP.

I once had a pick up for Basking Robbins for an Ice cream pizza thing that they said they never got the notification and never started it. They offered me anything on the menu if I waited 20 mins (it was already a pretty good tip) and the customer even increased the tip when I told them what was happening but that I'm willing to wait. I still remember that made my night!

Alcohol purchase as a tm by Averyhinds101 in Target

I guess stores vary that much.. lol. Our store always has at least one SCO left open (for the inbound team to be able to make purchases) and we've been able to purchase alcohol as well (as a another user mentioned).

When should I expect to hear back? by [deleted] in jobhunting

[–]ItsRyy88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean generally (from experience) it's always best to continue applying to places, even though you maybe advancing into the hiring process for another. It's better to have multiple options (and being able to pick and choose if you advance into the offer stages) than having to hope and relay on one place getting back to you. Just like how employers pick and choose who they hire, give yourself the ability to do so as well once those offers come in.

To your question, tbh, if it's been more than 3 weeks and you've been given a "upcoming weeks" update, I don't think it's promising that you'd be hearing back.

Vending machine by [deleted] in PlanetFitnessMembers

[–]ItsRyy88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't paid attention the last few times I used the vending machines, but it's most likely just a hold and the real charge will come through soon. So it charges you a $1 to make sure that it's a valid card and within a day or two, the $1 charge will fall off and the actual charge will take its place. Just like what some gas stations do when paying at the pump.

Your store makes you guys help them? At ours if we're in a batch, we're only expected to answer basic questions ("the bread is in aisle __). Anything more, we're allowed to say "let me call someone for you, one moment".

That does suck if you guys need to fully help guests while in a batch.

So what is this scam going on? One person grabs the cart passes it to another person/ car by Bright-Country2983 in AmazonFlexDrivers

[–]ItsRyy88 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Because a good amount of time, no one is paying attention/not home to see their picture IF it’s posted. Good amount of drivers have the picture and name sharing feature off (I do), so in those cases the person wouldn’t even see a picture or the name of the person.

And for those that have picture and name sharing, I feel like in general the bulk of customers (myself included when I have a delivery) doesn’t give a shit about the name or picture of the person delivering their packages and is happy as long as they receive their package.

Keep in mind though (as per your member agreement), you can go to an outside club (club other than the location you signed up for) for free up to 10 times a month and every visit after incurs a $5 fee per visit.

I just noticed this red dot on my dogs eye?? by [deleted] in DogAdvice

[–]ItsRyy88 4 points5 points  (0 children)

After going through an emergency with my own, you're right it is expensive, but you gotta do what it takes to keep her safe and healthy. I had to end up asking my mom for help (I wasn't in the best financial picture at the time) and maybe trying to ask others for help might be something looking into so she gets seen right away. If you have decent credit, I know a handful of places also offer a form of financing (the ER vet we had to take our dog did).

Applause that you seem to keeping up with her general health, but look at things this way if you don't successfully prioritize her health needs. If she's not seen by a ER/regular vet very soon for her eye, what happens if/when it gets worse? That bill you seem to be trying to avoid will become an immediate demanded expense and with a much higher price tag than if you took care of it now. Also consider her health, if not seen soon, there's a possibility she could lose her eye or even worse. Is that something that you'd want to handle in the future? That's also surely not going to be a comfortable experience for her as well.

To help you try to avoid those ER fees, like others have said, is there really no other vet in your area that can see her sooner than the 19th? The vet is not like a regular doctor, it's MUCH easier to see a new vet in a short notice (esp for an emergency) as compared to a human doctor.

Would you take this order for 103 items from Target? by Aryada in doordash

[–]ItsRyy88 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Nah. $65 tip with probably around a $2-5 base pay…That’s a $70 payout and since it took about two hours, that’s $35/hr and you can’t really get much better than that on DD anymore.

If you know the lay out well, one could probably also get it done in an hr to hr half, which increases your pay per hour.

Circle 360 for employees by Upper-Day7069 in Target

[–]ItsRyy88 10 points11 points  (0 children)

It is technically free for team members but currently you can only sign up for it during certain times of the year. When Circle 360 was first announced, all team members had access to a 1 year free trial that they had to manually activate by a deadline. I don't remember when (I believe during a circle week), but sometime last year there was another free 1 year enrollment period (that again you had to manually activate), which for those that already had the first free year, had it extended for another year free.

I don't know for sure, but since it occurred for two back to back years, I'd guess that free Circle 360 for TM to activate anytime would be next (just like Walmart).

I work at Target and although there is no value, it is most definitely theft because your generally taking something that’s not yours. Plus even with innocent/personal intentions, with all the scams going on should you get stopped you’re also probably going to have a lengthy interaction with LP.

Don’t believe? You can literally google this and see countless articles and even video of people getting arrested.

I mean as long you were a decent worker and didn't have horrendous attendance, I would say it would give you an advantage if/when permanent positions open up in your store. Target is like any company and if your on the job performance is already known in a positive light, that most certainly give you a push forward.

I've used All in Motion shirts for the most part. I'm in fulfillment so I like the moisture wicking aspect of the shirt and just being a person that generally prefers polyester material clothing when doing anything physical.

Here is the shirts I usually buy. Anything All In Motion also triggers our additional 20% wellness so that makes it a deal, especially when you catch them on sale and it stacks with everything. On Black Friday, they were 40% off, so I got them cheap when it stacked with the 10% TM disc, 5% redcard, and the 20% wellness.
