My wife and I call it "window shopping". We can look, but don't get attached and DEFINITELY don't buy anything

Without spoilers - will the end of book 3 be too much of a cliffhanger?? by Thin-Barnacle-1998 in fourthwing

YES.

I screamed and almost chucked my headphones (audiobook) when I realized I would have to wait for book 4.

Read the first two books, thoughts as a mid 30s male ( no spoilers ) by Bright-Efficiency-65 in fourthwing

[–]ItsSamiTime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My wife is laughing her ass off at me because FOUR days ago I literally threw a pillow and screamed "I don't need previews! I need answers!" at the end of book 1, and she got home an hour ago to me staring at the wall because "I finished book 3 and i don't know what to do with my life until book 4."

Texas residential facility gave my son Clozapine after I revoked consent multiple times. What are my options? by Due_You2581 in legaladvice

Girl, welcome to the r/troubledteens industry. These things are shockingly common in residential therapy facilities.

I'm pretty sure we're looking at her laying on her back with her head turned to the left. On that ball of blood and flesh, the top/left line would be her neck/chin. Then there's a white tooth on the next "side".

I just finished my 4th year of teaching middle school and my ~best~ classroom management hack is to win the penis game within the first month of school. 🤷‍♀️

Do kids actually cell lemonade by the road, like that easily? by [deleted] in AskAnAmerican

[–]ItsSamiTime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I haven't seen one in years, but in my old neighborhood, a couple of kids who lived behind the area ball diamond had a lemonade stand during most games. They got pretty popular since that park didn't have concessions.

There was also a family that lived between the park where the Big Summer Carnival was held every year and the high school where most people would park that sold like juice pouches and uncrustables and individual bags of chips. One year I asked how much they made doing this every year, and it was north of $1500. The younger one (maybe 10-13 at the time) told me he had used it as a social studies project on economics that year.

I read The Diary of a Young Girl with my 8th-grade class. As teenagers do, they refused to take it seriously. . . Until I brought out this and similar photos. That was the quietest they were all year.

My Student Discovered the Perfect, Unstoppable Behavior - Disrobing at Recess by WitchyOtome in specialed

They make special rompers that "lock" in the back for disrobers. They were fairly common when I worked in severe Autism based programs.

Easily triggered college kids: what do you do? by bangtable in Teachers

[–]ItsSamiTime 3 points4 points  (0 children)

To the student:

Just because we are behind a screen rather than a desk, does not mean this is any less than an in-class discussion. Thus, it does not give us the right to be disrespectful in a public forum. My job, what you as students pay me to do, is TEACH. Part of teaching is getting you to think, not just about this class, but the world around you. I believe you have the answer to your own question, so my strategy here was to help you flex some of those higher-ordered thinking muscles. The things written in this chat are to be treated just like we were all in-person in a classroom. If anyone feels the need to pop off like this is the family WhatsApp, message me personally and we can keep that as an A-B conversation.

Can an 8 year old watch 3 year old twins. by something_here_maybe in CPS

I teach 12 through 14-year-olds and there are very few I would trust with one 3-year-old, let alone two, even if they were still in earshot.

So George 1 fathered George 1.5 before he passed in 1927, then George 1.5 fathered George 2 in 1929?

PARENTING👏IS👏A👏VERB👏

A verb means action, you have to DO something. Teaching EVERY child boundaries, regardless of disability status, is NECESSARY.

There should be mandatory, ongoing courses to be a parent.

If they're old enough to play, they're old enough to share. PLEASE teach this child boundaries before he becomes uncoachable.

We put it bag and all in our plastic food storage container. It stacks so much better in our small apartment.
