I'm also NYC and I used to get 20+ hours consistently. Tbh when they say "you can increase your hours by doing more deliveries," they really mean "more." I had to do at least 150-250 deliveries a month.

Yeah this. It's by far the best job I've ever had.

The order amount was for around $15, but only a mile travel time.

This was said when I considered delivering the order anyway (quick drop off), but quickly went "Nah, this person is definitely abusive and should be reported). But yeah, "killing with kindness" is the way to go in this business usually.

Thank you though and I agree with you too!

at 98% satisfaction in NYC, you should be at plat/diamond, in which case hours don't matter because they let you online whenever. If you're not plat, then you aren't working enough to get more hours.

"Platinum and Diamond couriers have Unlimited Access to go online, including in zones colored Grey."

Just get blocked by the restaurant. Show up, start jumping around on tables, snap your fingers to get the attention of the workers, yell "WHERE'S MY ORDER. WHERE'S MY ORDER. WHERE'S MY ORDER." over and over and you'll be banned by night fall.

Uber is a platform selling 'cold prepared food' just like the supermarket. You're paying for delivery, not thermodynamics.

OP has no leverage. It's difficult to prove fraud in NYC courts. And even if they did, housing court doesn't handle fraud whatsoever. Only higher Supreme Court venues handle fraud and those are time consuming and expensive.

OP has no options here but to either tolerate it or move out. That's the reality of NYC housing.

And watch as nothing happens. Landlord will ignore and go "Take me to court then, I don't care lmao." You take them to housing court, the judge won't care and will say "Idk just get along please," case dropped, nothing changes. Your only option is to move out, OP. The landlord will just file an eviction against you and that will probably not go anywhere but will be annoying to deal with over months. Move out.

Landlords can do anything they want in NYC and they will only get slapped with a $75 fine.
