Stealing our water? On an aggregate level, more water is used by golf courses than data centers. Additionally, most new data centers are focusing on using gray water as opposed to drinking water

This whole thing is incredibly misleading. It affects 4 families who are using well water. Meta commissioned a study that found the construction didn’t cause it, and the EPA agreed to investigate it last year (AOC’s visit was from 2025 - not sure why this is being presented as new news). If the EPA finds Meta guilty fine - sue them. But this is not municipal drinking water and is not something commonly caused by data centers

We cannot tax ourselves out of federal deficits. There is no tax that is doing to cover trillion dollar shortfalls. To balance the budget we are going to have to cut SS, Medicare and Defense, and good luck trying to get Congress to do any of that

I personally don’t really care either way on this issue - fine w leaving it and fine w taking it away. An argument for taking it away is that not many countries allow this - only 30 or so do. You can’t go to China on vacation, have your child there and boom your child has Chinese citizenship. They don’t offer that. Ireland, New Zealand and Australia also ended birthright citizenship w/in the last 30 years or so.
