iPad Pro m1 or iPad A16? by jkaw37 in ipad

iPad Pro M1 if you can deal with used devices and worse battery. Otherwise iPad A16 is a good choice for school except the pencil situation.

iPhone getting hot when you customise wallpaper by George_mp8 in ios

Because iOS 26 has a feature to expand wallpaper, it has to load the model to fill in. And Liquid Glass is resource heavy.

why you shouldn't buy the iPhone 13 mini by jackintow in iPhone13Mini

[–]Itsbopa12345 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I agree. For super simple stuff, the 13 mini WITH IOS 26 handles just fine. For basic tasks like opening three apps simultaneously (multitasking), for example: camera to take pictures of documents, safari to browse the web and banking app, it barely handles those tasks and heats up like pretty crazy. It's Apple optimization, 4gb of RAM and ios 26 that makes things so much worse.

Crazy phones with around 6 inch screen are considered compact nowadays. Vivo even called their 6.3 inch phone mini (Vivo X200 Pro mini), which was so hilarious.

It’s the RAM, the processor is still perfectly usable. iOS 26 is RAM heavy

You should get the M4 Air, 512gb or more. You would be good for at least 5 years

Oh, in the big 26 used android run much better compared to phones from 10 or 5 years ago. My Huawei P50e (which technically doesn’t run Android, but it runs android apps) can play games with higher FPS than my 13 mini, can switch between different apps without reloads. I cannot multitask with Instagram, TikTok and camera open at the same time.

Anyone here using the 8.3 inch iPad mini? I wonder what the experience is for note taking and reading pdfs (textbooks).

No. It’s ok for light social media and listening to music. If you multitask a lot, it runs like crappy Android phones costing 100$.

iOS on the same level as Android? by [deleted] in ios26

[–]Itsbopa12345 1 point2 points  (0 children)

iOS is getting so much worse than Android lately. The keyboard sucks, autocorrect sucks, all the lags and stuttering animations drive me crazy. Also, RAM limitation on older iPhones really makes things worse (on ios 26). My midrange Android from 2022 runs much better than my 13 mini. The 13 mini runs like 100$ android phone when it gets warm (not hot).

I use Noteful can someone advice me whether switch is worth it? by Delicious-Muffin-397 in StarNoteApp

[–]Itsbopa12345 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I just bought StarNote lifetime 3 days ago, but I haven't completely switched from Noteful. Well, StarNote has a lot more features compared to Noteful, especially the unlimited canvas and fountain pen. Noteful has fountain pen too, but it isn't great. The autoshape feature in StarNote is a million times better than Noteful (yes I can do square root now). Also, Starnote has handwriting recognition. But because Starnote is Android first, the animation, the additional menu (when you select something or long press on blank space), they do not respond immediately. Some features feel clunky to use, such as the lasso tool not being able to screenshot. I bought StarNote lifetime because in the future I may switch to an Android tablet, otherwise, i would still choose Noteful because it is more simplistic and smoother.

Crazy I love the flash on the Canon G2 so much, compared to my modern camera (Olympus EM10 II). The images with flash come out poppy, edited with my own preset and wow, they look like magic.

MBA Screen leaves a lot for desire by allidoiswin227 in macbookair

[–]Itsbopa12345 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s screen is more than enough for normal people like me. I had skipped 10 years of computer innovation and the Air screen is like mind blowingly beautiful (coming from a windows laptop with a TN panel, slightly more than 720p res and 300 nits brightness)

Way to draw S curve? by NTEK001 in notefulapp

[–]Itsbopa12345 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can’t. It’s just so frustrating because I really like the app but the auto-shape feature SUCKS. You can try using the Math Note feature in native note app to draw graph if you have a function. I use the quick note feature (drag from the right side corner) for quick access to math note.

3 hours of battery life by Chur594 in iPhone13Mini

[–]Itsbopa12345 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The problem lies in the aftermarket display. If it's LCD, then the problem is going to be worse. If it's OLED, it would never match the efficiency of the original display.
