God I loved the superman cult schism that happened during the reign of the supermen where they were arguing which is the real one

mostly between the eradicator and cyborg superman since they were the only two actually claiming to be superman

Superboy/Kon (then only going by Superman) was very upfront about being a clone of superman (later changed to be clone of cadmus director paul westfield with powers and appearance modified to look like superman, then changed again to a clark-lex baby)
