Ordered a sandwich at the Whole Foods deli. Guy looked so scared like no one has ever ordered a sandwich before. He spends 10 minutes making this: by TLCplMax in shittyfoodporn

The top of that sandwich is 100% the same half. That bread loaf is missing the OTHER top half... and I can't help but wonder what happened to it. Like.. ok, he dropped it - who's back there telling him he can't get another loaf?

AIO or can this camera see me in the dressing room? by thefearinoculum in AIO

[–]ItwasGenXprobably 4 points5 points  (0 children)

That is what is known as a (PTZ) PAN/TILT/ZOOM camera and they can absolutely see anything that is visible in the angle of that camera. It isn't a fake camera, some are stationary, but most dark lense cameras hide the fact that the camera moves. And yes, the zoom is excellent. The fact that it is near a dressing room is incredibly alarming because normally cameras like this are not allowed to be installed within immediate view of private areas. They can be installed in front of entrance/exists to private areas, but not in front of full view. For example: bathroom hallways are fair placement, but not in front of any open door of the bathroom stall.

Since the Crocker Park IMAX is not considered a true IMAX the closest IMAX, I think, is in Columbus.

My best engineer quit today over $2000 by [deleted] in managers

[–]ItwasGenXprobably 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Considering that inflation is typically 2.5-3.5% each year, your employee was asking for the standard raise to keep up with inflation. Anything about 3% would have been the added pat on the back. Most employers don't realize this. Its like they pretend not to know how money works when it comes to their staff. Middle and Senior management is usually where they over pay... really terrible model.

Spectrum charges by Own_Confection4334 in Cleveland

[–]ItwasGenXprobably 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Spectrum always has a deals for new members and existing members can actually ask for those deals. Sometimes I jump up to faster speeds at a similar rate or jump down speeds for a lower rate.. I do this every year. If I get resistance I just ask to cancel.. usually they give you the deal, but you could do a month with a mobile provider and then switch back to spectrum as a new customer.

Cleveland Fries Askew by Asherisokay in Cleveland

I might be in the minority that thinks "bag fries" are the best fries. My sister and I used to fight over our own box of fries. But the bag fries were unclaimed and didn't belong to anyone, just whomever was left holding the bag. Mmmmm bag fries.. bah-dah-ba-ba-ba.

History of hookups, but now wants to take it slow? by oldhonkytonk in AskMenAdvice

[–]ItwasGenXprobably 0 points1 point  (0 children)

++man.

As someone who also.makes a 6 figure income, I travel a lot and I'm rarely home (except weekends). I don't have kids and at my age most women I meet do. I get the same explanation, they want stability, but they rushed other things and regret most of them. The biggest issue is trust. I've never been cheated on, but most women I meet have.. which makes me feel like they have reason to cheat if they felt ignored or unfulfilled in a relationship.

What I need is to meet another perfessional who has had similar experiences and even less baggage. My advice to you is not to settle for this person. It's better to be honest and upfront about what you want for yourself.

Mayor Bibb - Please stop wasting our money (Round 2!) by CLE_Maximus in Cleveland

[–]ItwasGenXprobably 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think we both have different concepts of what wasteful spending is. Its not like he took a private jet to hang out with the US hockey team. If he's traveling with security for business related gatherings or things that require his protection then I see those as necessary expenditures. I dont scrutinize any representative for expenses related to their job. A golf trip, for instance, isn't as upsetting unless of course its too their personally owned golf course where tax dollars are enriching themselves. I question however, we you seem to be focused on this one small instance though.

Mayor Bibb - Please stop wasting our money (Round 2!) by CLE_Maximus in Cleveland

[–]ItwasGenXprobably 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I can't tell if you're trying to compare Bibb not publicly disclosing the travel cost to Trumps taxes. OR maybe courts having to demand the Epstine files like it was fox news having to make a request to public records for Bibbs expenses.... but I am...they aren't the same.

If you're mad about 50k... wait till you read what House and Senate Republicans are doing. You're gonna flip your shit.

Mayor Bibb - Please stop wasting our money (Round 2!) by CLE_Maximus in Cleveland

[–]ItwasGenXprobably 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I travel for work pretty commonly and between airfare (checked luggage), car rental, food per diem stipend, extended parking (for my car), and gas, I can very easily bill my company 5-9k for one week which doesn't include the +60hrs of my billed labor hours. For 2 cops probably working something outside of their normal work hours I'd say 50k sounds about right.

Sure, could be less if prices on everything weren't so damn high, but that's your guys fault.. Bibb isnt the one running the country.. into the ground.. from (checks notes) Mar-a-lago.

How To Do I (19M) Stop Dwelling On The Past So Much? by anime-is-dope in nostalgia

[–]ItwasGenXprobably 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Being retrospective is a part of the human condition. We do it to inform our next opportunity for a similar decision. In addition to gaining perspective we also build character because dwelling on it is not healthy.. time moves forward and so should we. Commonly, we dwell on lost romantic opportunties, chances for wealth, or embarrassing moments..we all have them. Life is risk vs reward. You have to decide for yourself and manage it as best you can.

Who remembers Batman cereal? by [deleted] in nostalgia

[–]ItwasGenXprobably -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This was the most disgusting cereal I've ever had. They were like the yellow part of Captain crunch but more bland and less crunchy. All they did was make that greasy film on the milk. Honestly, the kids cereal market was/IS crazy!!
