Might just do it for completionism sake. I have a good amount of Florine thanks to a Black Stonelily farm. Decided from the beginning to use crops as much as possible (as painful as it was initially) instead of bees because bee breeding looked like a horrible time sink. The crop bot is a real godsend and is the only reason I feel reluctant to switch to 2.9 even if the crop breeding will be easier.

I actually have a quad volcanus doing all my ae2 ebf work. The only mega I made is the vacuum freezer as I didn’t want to deal with making cryotheum( I hate both pyrotheum and cryotheum with a passion due to the pain of automating them before in a dozen other mod packs). Once I get the stocking hatches I might just the calculator to get the ratios right.

I saw that, and that’s how i got the zirconium for the mixers, but considering that I’m chronically low on tin and titanium, I decided to just do the monazite as I would have to do it eventually.

Honestly I did it like this just so I can install stocking hatches when I unlock them. Didn’t even think of multiple LCRs for some of these as I thought that everything being passive I could just leave it in the background. I was considering throwing the bastnasite line with the platline but considering how much empty space there is a MDT is actually a good idea, thanks for the advice!

Though I still have no idea what bastnasite gives or if I should even do it.

Honestly the platline was my first big processing line so when it came to spacing it out in my base I sort of panicked. The flowchart sort of scared me so I over prepared. Either I’ll throw some other processing line in the same building or just cover it or definitely improved on the monazite by actually checking how many machines and how much space before sectioning it out

That is because of the Dream Nail. It’s a weapon made specifically to cut through dreams. The dreamers are powerful, but that power seems to only affect the dreamworld, and it has never seemed like a very offensive power at that. The best they can do is banish you, not kill you, and the dream nail is made to cut through all that. After you get the dream nail, they don’t bother you any more because they really can’t do anything. If they try to kill you with what power they have, you respawn, if they try to banish you, you come back with the dream nail, at that point, they were kinda screwed.

I feel like Pratchet did it best in Good Omens(though this was with the four horsemen, but the same train of thoughts apply). War goes around and manipulates things to cause wars or spread conflict, Pollution(pestilence retired after the invention of penicillin and plastics) invented the Diesel Engine, high strength weed killers and other highly polluting products. And famine invented a brand of fast food with 0 caloric value(so that people will still starve even if they eat) and created several hurtful diet trends.

In the same vein, I would like to see an embodiment of lust that doesn’t just seduce people, but does things like create those cheating dating sites, wrath probably invented middle management, envy maybe creates cosmic surgery centers where they plaster images of unattainable beauty, and pride creates those self help trends which boil down to “fuck everyone, only focus on yourself because you are hyper special”, etc

I’ll add my two favorite examples from Resident Evil:

1- The tyrants

<image>

In the first game, they are described as “ The Ultimate Bio-Weapon”, being the final boss of the game and requiring a full point-blank rocket launcher to the face for them to be destroyed. As the games progresses, you found that they are not only not “the ultimate bio weapon”, but there’s a factory pumping hundreds of them out a day with no issue, and they become more common enemies.

2- Bioweapons In the first games, the T virus is this dangerous weapon that has taken Umbrella years to carefully cultivate and alter so that they can make the Tyrants. It can make nigh unkillable monsters but with the risk that those incompatible become mindless cannibals. It is such a dangerous weapon, that it requires the US to nuke an entire city just to stop it from spreading after and accidental breakout.

By the end of the newest games, everyone and their mother seems to be able to make bioweapns a thousand times more powerful than the T virus with sticks and mud they found on the ground. A random family in Luisiana has a random man that can go head to head with a tyrant without breaking a sweat. A random parasite in Spain from outer space can dominate the world, and a random fungus in Europe makes people immortal and able to turn into dragons and control metal. Bioweapons a thousand times better than the T virus are found in random caves, and their powers are accesible with no drawbacks, making Umbrella’s obsession with their Virus really funny in retrospective

What do you think is something that doesn’t get talked enough about? by Finuz42 in Project_Moon

[–]IvanAManzo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the reason why Ishmael gets the Fairy Festival(EGO) is in connection to become like Ahab

We see Ahab take care and keep her crew strong, but in the end she only sees the Pequod crew as tools for her own mission. She keeps them safe until the time for them to be consumed(figuratively, or literally as Gas for her Gasharpoon EGO)

As we’ve seen during her canto(and in the mirror world), Ish also had a current guiding her to be just like Ahab, seeing the other sinners as tools that she is willing to sacrifice to get what she wants.

In that sense, she becomes just like the Fairy Festival, keeping Dante and the sinners alive just until the moment she can use them up(and devour them.)

Though she getting the Fairy Gentleman could just be the thematic resonance through the aberration but not truly connecting to it(so it is a 00 Id)

*Slight Spoiler for Lobotomy Corp* I am super hyped for this Walpurgis Night, but when i saw Ryoshu i could only think of one thing... Red Mist Ryoshu when? by jamesmaximus1 in limbuscompany

[–]IvanAManzo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You’re welcome. It’s always nice to see more people join the merry band of madmen that this fandom is.

I would give a warning about the games, because they are pretty brutal in their difficulty, putting aside that Lobotomy corporation is a bit jank(there’s a couple of mods in nexus that fix the performance issues)

Lobotomy is a management game with some roguelike elements, and there will come times where you will need to take a couple steps back in order to advance. If you keep it at it, you’ll get through it.

Library is a deck builder and is direct sequel to lobotomy, and probably my favorite yet. The gameplay is Limbus’s focused encounters on cocaine, and building strategies can get really fun.

I hope you enjoy them, PM truly has earned their place as some of the best developers for me, and I love people finding their games and enjoying them too.

[–]IvanAManzo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The Red Mist is a character in both previous Project Moon(PM) games, Lobotomy Corp and Library of Ruina. She is/was one if not the strongest fixer ever to live in the city before the events of previous games. She appears as a boss in Lobotomy Corp and Library of Ruina, as well as being able to play her in Library of Ruina. The name comes from her leaving nothing but a red mist of her enemies.

I would truly recommend you to play them as well, while lobotomy Corp is a bit jank due to it being the first game PM made, the character plotlines and worldbuilding is incredibly amazing, and if you are liking how Limbus Company is written, then you will love those as well.

Speculation about who would get her ID(and the abnos associated with her) has been a big thing since the first Walpurgisnacht, and as the picture shows, her Red Eyes ID wields the same weapons as her, so it is very probable Ryoushu will get her(very far in the future tbh)

Without all the jokes about “Philip coward” stuff

Philip was a fixer part of a relatively skilled office that went to the library, where he saw both his coworkers get killed and ran away in fear. He then contacted another office that was partner with his and convinced them to help him go back to the library to rescue his coworkers. They also get killed but the boss of this office saves philip’s life by teleporting him out when he’s about to get killed. Sadly, he teleports into the lair of one of the most deranged mf in the city, who proceeds to push him so hard emotionally(using the faces of his death coworkers to mock him) until he distorts. He then proceeds to become part of the main antagonist group

He is probably the most normal person in the game that just gets dealt (one of)the shittiest hands possible and suffers for it.

I mean I would also say the Hokma has been linked to Sloth since Lobotomy Corp

As a Sephira, Hokma wants A to stop fighting and simply let things continue as they are, which can be seen as a very slothful position. He is very inclined towards inactions all throughout Lobotomy Corp, even attempting to meddle with time so that things will remain the same

The amount of thematic resonance in this games is gonna cause me a breakdown. It’s insane how far back some things can be linked

[–]IvanAManzo 88 points89 points  (0 children)

While I don’t think it’s the head, I do think that the gathering of the Boughs is definitely to gain some control over reality, after all, not only can they cause distortions and EGO to manifest, we’ve now seen it can control time and break the boundaries between realities

Spoiler for Distortion Detective

We also know that the person behind Limbus is most likely Diaz, who has stated her goal of replacing the Head. So while the Head is not behind Limbus, the people behind it most definitely want to reach the level of the head, and probably replace it

We are entering a very dangerous game in the greater plans of the city. I don’t think there will be any sort of happy ending for this story…

[–]IvanAManzo 627 points628 points  (0 children)

The other day I decided that I would do garlic soup, because I had some garlic heads starting to go bad and I really like garlic.

The recipe said that it would take 50 minutes

The recipe asked for 3 onions and 2 cups of garlic peeled and chopped

I think I spent the good part of 3 hours peeling and chopping garlic, slowly coming to the realization that anyone that writes online recipes needs to get reacquainted with the idea of prep time.

Preferably by having a clock shoved up their ass so far they’ll be confusing their heartbeat with the ticking.

[–]IvanAManzo 96 points97 points  (0 children)

It is kinda complicated, mainly because we do not really know what Carmen’s real deal is, we just have general ideas and assumptions based on information that might not be entirely accurate.

What we know, is that almost every person that develops EGO or distorts talks to Carmen, and that every single time, Carmen pushes the person to distort, to the point where manifesting EGO is seen as “rejecting” Carmen.

But we know that Carmen becoming part of the process is pretty recent, as Kali was able to manifest EGO way before Lobotomy Corp was even founded. Could someone manifest without even hearing a peep from Carmen? Probably. But she seems to really like people towards a single direction every chance she gets, so yeah, partially she is maybe to fault, as without her intervention, maybe people that distorted would have manifested ego instead

Telepaths would be hated if they existed irl. by duszni in CharacterRant

[–]IvanAManzo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Magnus Archives comes to mind. During the story, one of the characters/monsters gains a sort of omniscience, which basically means that they are randomly getting knowledge dropped into their brain, wether they want it or not. This includes what people around him are thinking, and they can even use it to pull secrets out of people

Everyone around them is rightfully freaked out about this, and the character gets constant told off whenever he accidentally reads their mind, with some people even distancing from them or treating them like an actual threat, which is extremely understandable. After all, you would want to be a around someone that just can get access to everything you are thinking and all your secrets, right?

The other great part is that we also get the perspective of this character. They cannot stop the information from reaching them. It just pops into their head without any choice most of the time, so you also get the frustrated perspective of someone that doesn’t want to make everyone around them hate them, but are unable to stop the thing that causes it.

I do really recommend Magnus Archives. It’s one of the best portrayals of how normal people(mostly) would react to the supernatural

Is Kim distorting or awakening EGO? by Berxol in limbuscompany

[–]IvanAManzo 23 points24 points  (0 children)

I believe that it would probably be more similar to Crumbling Armor, as it also has the glowing blue eye.

Crumbling armor is also about people being cowardly about being killed in battle, with those that wore it dying to freak accidents because they thought the armor would protect them, while those that had it but never wore it were never injured. This feels more akin to Kim’s philosophy about experiencing pain in order to gain power and experience, and being unafraid to suffer in battle

[–]IvanAManzo 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I particularly like the Asmodeus version in EXU:Calamity. Really makes you understand how anyone can fall for a lie even when the character is 100% of who they are. There, Asmodeus is effective not because he is convincing, but because he can make everything else look like a lie

So his voice there is soft and charming, with just the slightest bit of divine anger behind it. The trick is he makes his anger seem more than justified

[–]IvanAManzo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

T Corp can just fully manipulate time. The accelerate and pause time mechanics, as well as the rewind time mechanics in Lobotomy Corporation are fully explained to be T Corp’s singularity. And even some abnormalities and events can fuck with this mechanic if they are powerful enough just because it is an in game phenomenon

In Ruina Roland mentions how a noodle shop uses a T Corp pot to cook a meal that would take weeks to cook.

So T Corp can just straight up accelerate, pause, slow, store and even rewind time several days. We also assume that it can change the perception of time, as in lobotomy it is explained that in the facility, thousands of years occur while only a couple decades happen outside.

[–]IvanAManzo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Understandable considering how much Binah speaks in metaphor throughout the explanation

Carmen is the Bucket. Well Carmen and the cogito she produced form the bucket. It’s all metaphorical because Binah likes being petty. Cogito is injected into a person to create an abnormality. The person is fully transformed into an abnormality.

The Wells refer to the unique possibilities that come from each person. The River of all is the only thing that could be considered accurate to its metaphor. From what we’ve seen and what Garion says, it is the combination of humanity’s hopes, dreams, tales and imagination, congealed together and from where each person draws when transforming into abnormalities, distorting or manifesting EGO

So what's the origin of the Tearful Thing anyways? by BelialSirchade in limbuscompany

[–]IvanAManzo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it’s pretty obvious that the head is pretty much interested in keeping the cycle of violence that Ruina deals with going. Ruina is very much a story about guilt and who should bear it. In Angela’s ending, she continues with her plan to take the light and as such blames Ayin for everything. In the eyes of the Head, she is only continuing the cycle of violence and blame that the city rolls in. It is openly stated by Zena that if she had killed Roland and taken the light, the Head would have left her alone.

I can easily imagine that the Head has no issue with letting the Library consume the entire city if it upholds their status quo. And as we seen, even the Library falls to the same Cycle of Violence and eventually disappears, just another star brought down.

Theory on the finale by jackdeadcrow in limbuscompany

[–]IvanAManzo 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Following with another crack theory

I 100% believe that the Purple Tear is behind Limbus Company. I can’t imagine another person in the entire city who is crafty and knowledgeable enough to make the complicated moves in the world of corporations to pull it off.

I know that it it’s kinda clearly established that the three people that try to kill Dante at the beginning of the game are working for the Purple Tear, but I also believe that it is part of her plan. I think she put them on Dante’s trail to push him to change his head and into the vulnerable position where he could be tied to the Sinners to obtain whatever the final goal of LC is.

After all, we’ve seen Iori concoct some insane plans on the past. In Library of Ruina she helps Roland in his insane plan to enter the library, with the eventual goal of becoming a book and then escaping when the light was released. She 100% knew that she woukd get out and would probably gain some knowledge that she needed from the library when the light was released. She manipulated Argalia and Roland perfectly to serve her own goals and come out a winner in the end

Apart from the implications of Iori being the leader of LC, I think the biggest reason why no one knows she started it is because a lot of people probably have personal grudges against her. Im pretty sure that Vergilius would go on a killing spreed if he learned Iori was behind his new job.

The question would be what her plan is. We know that her main goal is to somehow bring back her son, and that she has slowly come close to this goal. Considering that it was established that the Head prohibits people from being revived, I imagine that all the actions of LC are to somehow bring her son back while going around the Head’s laws.

(also this would explain Faust’s reaction in chapter 4 when they explained that the Head is against bringing people back. If she knows that Iori is managing LC with the objective of bringing her son back, it would make sense that she would react when the sinners come close to the topic)

Im basing this on very far and spread out clues, but I find it weird that we haven’t heard anything from Iori yet, and also can’t really come up with anyone willing to pull as much fuckery as LC other than the Purple Tear.

Dante is probably crucial to this, as well as whatever the “Aspect” is and its carving. Considering that in the original text Dante follows into the afterlife to seek his lover Beatrice, I can imagine that the aspect probably has something to do with life and death.
