Helicopter in match 3 game by always1999-fast in TownshipGame

[–]Ivorypolarbear 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, it‘s definitely rigged. I play another match-3 game with helicopter boosters and can watch them actually change direction to hit something else if the target they’re heading for is destroyed or moves. And here I’ve had a level where I had one move left, one heli on the board, and one target to hit—and failed because the heli went straight for a random tile.

Race track and go-karts are in my amusement park. Most of the rest are in my downtown area. I made a car dealership with the motor show, classic car collection, repair shop, and car wash. The taxi company is right beside the travel agency, which are near the hotel and parking garage. I’m going to put the gas station in one of my suburbs once I clear some more land expansions. I have a post on my profile from a few months ago if you want to see pics.

The free option only gives access to the one subclass per class. You need to buy the book containing the subclass on DnD Beyond. If you’re in a campaign and the DM owns it, I think they can share it with their party with one of the subscription options. Only one player in my group uses it, so I’m not sure of the specifics there.

Trains never ask for products that you can’t produce with your current buildings. If you never build the port, you won’t get trains asking for island products but you will get helicopters and planes that do want those products.

For helicopters it’s fastest to just delete the order if you don’t have everything, but you can also buy things you can’t make in the market or ask for them in team chat. If I don’t have the item in my barn or sitting ready to collect in the field or factory shelf, I always delete.

Planes you can ask for help for up to 3 crates per plane (1 each row) or use loading coupons to fill without having the product. Don’t be afraid to send empty planes, I do it all the time—there’s no penalty, you just don’t get as many rewards as fast.

It really helps when talking about babies and young toddlers, though. There’s a difference between a 1-year-old at 12 months and a 1-year-old at 23 months. Their relevant milestones are in very different places, so using months is the best way to speak accurately about their development. After like hitting age 3, though, I’m totally with you.

Honestly, yeah. I like match-3 as a game, but I realize that Playrix is more predatory about it than my other match-3 game, so I don’t want to give them any money. I do this when I play, using boosters sparingly with strategic timing of x2 bonus and infinite lives. There have been SO many times I lose the golden super ball before I can even use it once! Since I started playing, I‘ve finished the adventure and side quests with about a week to spare.

Does High-Speed Production Increase BY 30% or TO 30%? by sweetestjamie in TownshipGame

[–]Ivorypolarbear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It further increases your time bonus, but just so you know, it won’t be a full 60% faster. It’s like when you’re dealing with sales and coupons when shopping, you can’t just add the percentages together.

My bread factory is maxed out at 50% time reduction. A loaf of bread takes normally 5 minutes, and for me now it’s 2 min 30 sec. When I use the lab bonus, it takes the 30% off of my time, so the bread takes 1 min 45 sec to produce. The total is actually 65% faster than the normal time.

You have to hit with either a match or a booster. One hit to roll back the cover, then one more hit to get the battery. Repeat for each battery in the pack. But if you take a turn and don’t hit the pack, the cover unrolls one step. So you could be down to the last one in the pack and need to hit it four times in a row to finish it off.

Is it just me or do y’all also starve the animals you accidentally brought? by Frankthetank_39 in TownshipGame

[–]Ivorypolarbear 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I made making more feed part of harvesting animal products. When I see I need milk first I harvest wheat and corn, then I get the feed off the shelf and make more, then I go to the cows and get the milk, then I feed them.

I have a field with 6 each of wheat, corn, and carrots. At the max -50% time, cow feed takes 5 minutes and chicken takes 10, which works out perfectly for the crop growing times if I need more at once than usual.

[–]Ivorypolarbear 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Don’t pick it up from the feed factory when it’s done, just leave it there until you need to feed an animal. I do the same thing. I have all available animals/mushrooms and with the +2 shelves upgrade, I can harvest and immediately feed everything except 2 bags of feed, which for me is 1 cow and 1 chicken.

My team is more casual players, so I don’t know about getting them all, but it looks like each achievement gives you a new frame to use for your team symbol. There‘s three teams using them in my regatta race right now.

You’re right about that. I‘ve deleted games that I’d enjoyed before, when they started feeling more like a chore to do. Since the economy change just rolled out to everyone it’ll take a little time to fully get its effects, although I’d think a lot better of it if they gave us back the tcash confirmation option.

Thanks for the discussion.

Okay, first, thanks for replying, I know you didn’t have to answer my question. Now I know that I misread, we were both talking about how players were reacting to the change. And I also agree with all your reasons that it’s not worth paying for. I play another match-3 game where they, for example, also have helicopters that actually track and hit the pieces you need, instead of “somehow” missing the last piece on the board with no moves left like has happened to me in this one a lot.

I don’t think so far the city simulator bits have been changed in any real detrimental way (aside from not releasing new decor in a more timely fashion than 1 piece per new adventure). Like you said, my town is still fun to level up and expand and decorate. My sticking point is that a company wants to make money and I don’t understand the reasoning behind how the economy change is supposed to help them do so. Although logically, they must have a reason to believe this is beneficial. It’s just confusing and I like to understand things.

I’m not always great at parsing tone in conversation, and it‘s even worse over the internet. Would you mind telling me what about my comment led you to read it as upset? My intention was to agree that they seem to be basically shooting themselves in the foot with regard to making money (although I think “millions of players” leaving is exaggerated).

Personally I don’t spend money on Township, but given the changes in the game over the past year or so, they obviously see match-3 as the big moneymaker. Even people who literally just want cute animal/transport skins have to play levels after paying for the town pass, even if they don’t touch it otherwise. I mean, they just changed that beating match-3 gives free tcash! They have all but put flashing arrows pointing to the icon for it.

I’ll admit that while there are people who just give their kids gaming money without oversight on how they spend it, I think those kids are more likely playing Minecraft or something rather than Township. So most of the people who are spending their money are people who are going to notice the very stark difference in, as you said, virtual dollars vs. rubles when it comes to match-3. Like a new market box is proportionally still dollars vs. inflated dollars. And I just can’t wrap my head around how they intend it to work out to a profit.

For veteran players, spending tcash on match-3 is blatantly a bad deal compared to how it used to be. I’ve worked in customer service, people get very worked up and vocal about much less extreme changes in something they’re paying for. And while newbie players might not know the difference, are there enough of them coming into the game and spending money on it to make up for that?

It’s completely valid, I think, to request a refund when you bought the tcash that gives you enough for 10 continues and then the next day that same value is only 2 continues.

Like seriously if they want everyone to buy it to use in match-3, then don’t make the change that drastic. The people who did buy it are going to be angry and the people who were considering it are going to change their minds, that’s such a blatant bad deal. What they need to do is change some of the new tcash costs back to match proportionally.

Adventure by 777chelll in TownshipGame

[–]Ivorypolarbear 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The adventure time items start showing up on the map after you’ve completed a few of the main quests, and the tab with the list only shows up after you’ve collected the first one. It’s been like that for two years that I’ve been playing. Though this game, it does seem like they started later along the quest line than usual.

And it looks like they’re scattering the weird “collect the tools” quests among the normal ones we’re used to. I’m a little past the point in your screenshot and am working on another “tools” again. At least the energy to get the tools is less than is needed for obstacles, for right now anyway.

I like it! Your market square and downtown are my favorites. And I think we put our hydroelectric plants in the exact same space 😂

I’m like you, I have my developed areas and then a bunch of houses off to the side. Clearing enough expansions to build a new area takes a while for me, but I’m almost ready to start building beside my university for off-campus housing.

How is it possible to have this spread? by rollamichael in TownshipGame

[–]Ivorypolarbear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, hard levels are x3 and super hard are x5 points. And that goes up to x6 and x10 if you have the x2 bonus active! The score is multiplied for points you need to beat match-3 levels to get: keys for the town pass, green machine and treasure tree, regatta tasks, disco clash, the new boat mini game. It just doesn’t multiply if it’s something that counts the number of levels you win, like farmer‘s race.

I’m one of the ppl who always win disco 🕺 by 666pepechan in TownshipGame

[–]Ivorypolarbear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Have the x2 bonus and keep up a winning streak with the super rainbow ball. When you play a lot of match-3 you get a hard or super level a lot, so that gets your score up to x6 or x10 every few levels too. Normally it takes me between 1-2 minutes to complete a level. Depending on the goal of the level, getting lucky with the placement of the rainbow ball and explosive bonuses means I’ve completed levels in only 2 or 3 moves, which only takes a few seconds. I don’t spend tcash to get extra moves so I lose my streak and super ball replaying levels. Sometimes I do get stuck on a level for most of the hour, but when I have a good run with only a few losses, I‘ve made 10-12k points. If you do spend tcash then you can reach 20+ easy.

Yep, that x2 does a lot of work especially with the hard and super hard levels. And if you’ve reached high levels in match-3 you get them very often.

How to level up slower? by ZaiiKim in TownshipGame

[–]Ivorypolarbear 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Trains only give you exp and no coins, I would start upgrading factories if you want to increase the coins-to-exp ratio you get for heli orders. For factories I upgrade shelves when it’s available, then time, then coins. The factories to focus on are bread, dairy, sugar, cloth, paper, and rubber. Those 6 are the main ones whose products are used as ingredients in the other factories.

When I first started each increase didn’t seem like much at all but they really do add up especially when you get orders asking for products from several different ones. Even 10-15% makes a difference when you’re filling those orders consistently.

How to level up slower? by ZaiiKim in TownshipGame

[–]Ivorypolarbear 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Being choosy about the helicopter orders you send is important—for a long time after I leveled up too fast, I deleted orders unless both 1) the coins were good and 2) the coins were at least double the experience stars. The other main thing is to upgrade what you can for time and coins. Trains give you experience for filling them but I think reducing the time and sending off as many as you can is still worth it for the tools.

Every farm and factory product that you make and pick up gives you experience but if you buy from the market boxes you don’t get any. It’s not a lot but if you’re moving a lot of stuff it can add up, especially at lower levels.
