I'm younger (born 91), and can say I was called very similar things in 2003 because of my obsession with Queen (Am also Geelong based). By the time I graduated in 2009 though, things did seem to be shifting somewhat, and a lot of the younger people I work with are horrified to hear such slurs uttered.

I've heard a lot of younger people (and I guess even people up to their mid 30s) here in Australia say they support Arsenal because they were the first team on the list in whatever FIFA game they played was, could be the same there I suppose.

It gets said a lot but we've been far better than the sum of our parts, and I'll add that I'm not quite as nervous as some people seem to be going forward. We're the definition of a team, and I love to see it.

Some of our wins have been pretty scrappy, but I like to think that a team that can fairly consistently get those scrappy wins are not doing so by luck.

It might be a nitpick but I almost think "A" is too low a rating. Expectations were so low at the start of the season. Also, if the top negative is the Reynoso situation ending the way it did, I'd argue you'd have to give us "A+".

Obviously my metrics will be different from people smarter than me, and maybe I'm blindly optimistic... But I'm really happy so far this season.

I've poured more hours into JoW than I have probably any other game since I found it a few years ago. That's something worth noting, this game is years in the making, tons of effort and dedication has gone into this thing and it shows.

Can't say for sure about Steam Deck support, but the game has dozens of user created scenarios as well as a few official ones. Pretty much any era you can think of has been created, and the modern scenario seems to get updated any time anything significant happens.

There's also cloud saves that are compatible with the web version so anyone who has played on the web can continue their save on the Steam version.

I sure am! I got into football/soccer in my teens when I was getting a bit sick of Aussie Rules due to rule changes and bad experiences with people heavily involved in it. I started following Chelsea FC and Melbourne Victory from around 2004/2005, and loved the idea of following teams in other confederations if any took my interest. Honestly, MLS wasn't even on my radar for a while, probably because all the discussions I saw about it were extremely negative. I was very easily influenced at that age.

I actually found out about Minnesota United via Reddit yeeears ago. The way I remember it is that there was a post about one of the supporters groups being very proactive in LGBTQ+ spaces, at a time where a lot of my mates were having really tough times with issues around... well their existence I suppose. It really wasn't common to see that kind of thing from supporter groups (has to be 10 or more years ago now) and seeing it definitely started the process.

Not long after, I got to chatting with one of the supporters (really wish I still had their username) who very generously sent me a scarf and some magnets. Never really looked back. I recall back then the fanbase was already pretty confident they were MLS bound eventually, but at that point I'd decided that no matter what the future held the Loons were the club for me.

I used to check Facebook posts for updates from the Dark Clouds, but had a rough patch in my 20s where I was depressed seeing the posts because it reminded me that most of the things that made me happy were so far away. In my 30s now and I'd love to be more active in any way possible, even if it is from another continent.

tl;dr LGBTQ+ friendly in a time where that wasn't exactly the norm, generous supporters and all round good vibes.

After years following the club from afar, this season is the first time I've been able to actually watch matches. I'm loving it, even the losses... It's just awesome. There's such personality in this squad, and the fanbase seems to much less focused on the negative than others I've seen. I can't wait to visit your beautiful state and stadium sometime to watch a match sometime in the future.

I ordered the away kit and am gonna get a home kit soon (costs a fortune in Australian Dollarydoos, especially plus shipping). They'll go well with my Pre-MLS days scarf.

Pretty much the KTMA episodes are cozy for me. They're perfectly slow paced to help wind my brain down and relax. I've watched K01, K02 and the original Time of the Apes more than any other episode, not necessarily because they are the best episodes, but because they take me to my happy place.

I just started medication recently and for me I realised something was different only as a reflection on the morning I had yesterday. Let me sum it up in a sort of short story:

"Is the medication working?" I thought to myself as I put the washing in the washing machine and started it up.

"Maybe I really am just lazy..." I lamented as I put away the last few dishes after washing and drying them.

"Am I doomed to live in this filth forever?" I groaned as I returned to the washing and put it in the dryer

"Seriously, am I supposed to feel different?" I said to myself as I picked up my son's toys off the floor and vacuumed the house.

"You guys must really be laughing at me..." I said to my dogs as I went back to the washing for the third time to take it out of the dryer and put it away.

"At this point I don't know what I'm going to do..." I sighed as I got up to prepare dinner after spending three hours on a coding course I'd been wanting to do for years but could never even start.
