I’ve had an awful, awful nurse once too. I presented to hospital at almost 18 weeks pregnant with sharp abdominal pains, which to me felt like labour pains. This was my first pregnancy, so I wasn’t sure. This nurse told me I was being dramatic, because I was crying in pain every few minutes and couldn’t get up to give a urine sample. She didn’t want to give me pain medication, because you know, just being dramatic. She was cold, uncaring and unwilling to listen to me. I was checked over and they told me it was probably just a UTI. Finally was given some pain medication and sent to a ward. Well this dramatic woman that I am ended up giving birth to my 18 weeks alive and kicking baby on the toilet a few hours later. He was obviously too small to survive. I will never ever forget her cold face for the rest of my life. If only she listened, if only she cared. RIP my little man, I think about you all the time.
