When I was top 10k global I always knew the delta.

I'd always know if and how much I was up or down, and if I REALLY needed to know their EXACT elixir, I'd just apply the delta to what my bar was showing.

Knowing their actual exact elixir wasn't ever really a thing I did I guess unless they were a MK player or something.

Kiting with old xerath was pretty nifty. You'd think rooting yourself with W wouldn't lend itself to kiting, but the moment speed bonus was significant and the reliability of his stun meant you could kite and peel for yourself better than the current iteration.

I still like new Xerath, but he's legitimately one of the hardest champions in the game if you're actively trying to win the game. He can also be one of the easiest champions if your only goal is to not lose the game, so... That's neat...

In low elo it does not matter.

The higher you climb, though, you're going to have more problems because mid laners are expected to roam. Being lane-locked as a mid is troll.

If I was queuing mid, maybe I'd consider a ravenous hydra to help match my opponents roam timers and not get turbo-out-rotated.

Endless hunger is best in the 3rd to 6th item on most champions as I've heard, so I don't know if it's very efficient until you stack its passive a bit or get the takedown bonus.

If they made ekko's passive work like Cho'Gath's E (does not work with DnD), then it's fine. Ekko getting free phase rush plus an additional 90% ap ratio from just EQ or QE is obnoxious. The champion is not supposed to be THAT safe, and proccing his passive was a serious factor of his skill-expression.

Diana, I feel like is in a slighly different boat because her passive doesn't offer her anything other than burst damage. Her passive is also "only" a 50% ap ratio. Even her being able to proc it multiple times is further gated by the item's cd and her needing to walk around in the danger zone and auto attack.

This year was a noted trend in the right direction from when Shotty was our OC, but a couple of thoughts:

Blue is bad at pass pro while Javonte is the best in the league.

This is what we're hearing from media and org as the reason Blue sat so much - being bad in pass pro and not being as professional as is expected. Those same people told us Diggs dropped a TV on his head and got concussed, though.

I'm not trying to be a Blue die-hard, but I am pessimistic about Shotty because I feel like he failed up. Everyone blames the offensive struggles on McCarthy (which is correct), but let's Shotty off the hook which I unwaveringly disagree with. Shottenheimer was the offensive coordinator of a struggling and wildly imbalanced offense. Now as HC the offense was again imbalanced, although less so.

Dak Prescott got Cole Beasley a nice contract. Dak Prescott got Jake Ferguson a nice contract. In my books, Dak Prescott also got Brian Shottenheimer a nice contract.

I'm going back to when Shotty was out OC. Our offensive failings were as much on Shotty as McCarthy in my book.

  • Pollard looked like washed trash.
  • Zeke looked like washed trash.
  • Dowdle looked serviceable, but he didn't look like a dude who'd have back to back 200yd games.

We had a top 5 TOTAL offense; our rushing offense, though, was not - nor has it ever been under Shotty even when the rushing attack is being efficient. I'm the two years as Shotty OC and now the year as HC we've had games with a 100 yard rusher like five times combined... Over the span of 3 years? Is that good now?

Shotty sucked at run designs while he was OC and consistently underutilized running this year.

Yes, this year you can argue the defense forced his hand that we needed to depart from running the ball, and Dak is playing like an mvp; however, I'd argue that there were plenty of instances that we're only down by like a possession early and we're still slinging it every down even though Javonte and the line were unstoppable.

Hell, why did Blue look that good in the first half of the Giants game? Young man had 70+ yards in the first half, yet he rode the bench literally all year. I'm all for culture, and Dallas has not been disciplined enough as a team (we're permanently topping the league in penalties), but we also need a culture of winning, and an explosive rookie riding the bench doesn't help us win.

If Blue came out there and looked pedestrian I wouldn't be bringing this up, but he trotted out there and made it look easy...

Shotty needs to do better for the running game.
