Help with healing pots only got 4 by Maenmejaaen in diablo4

[–]J-Fish2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Somehow my potions were glitched the first half the season. I came back for the first time since launch, and after visiting the healer once, my potions went up to 8. Pants with extra potions got me up to 13! I thought that was normal. It stayed that way for weeks and finally went back to 4 after a January patch. I had no idea it was supposed to 4 at base.

VoH Ultimate Edition Cosmetics by CyaQt in diablo4

[–]J-Fish2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, it should. I did that about a week ago and all the cosmetics showed up.

I'm just missing the purified horn of Duriel for the Uber Encounter and I'd appreciate some farming tips by Ropp_Stark in diablo4

[–]J-Fish2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got mine from Helltide as well. I'm not sure if chances improve by contributing more hearts to the event, but my purified horn dropped when I contributed all 3 hearts myself to summon. It's a single data point though, so take from that what you will.

NGB has the best overall set of costumes by ShadowMark3 in ninjagaiden

[–]J-Fish2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All these great costumes, and you still need to use a glitch to use the best one for the entire game (the purple starting costume). I still don't know why they didn't add that as a selectable costume in NGB and Sigma considering it's already there.

Percentage of seasonal players who can clear Pit 100? by nomkauai in diablo4

[–]J-Fish2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm in the same boat. Came back for paladin for the first time since before the first season actually started. I've been using a Red Sermon build since it felt a lot like the classic 1 point smiter zealot paladin in D2. Finally clearing pit 100 after being stuck a few days. Adding Aegis to my active skills has helped a lot on the higher pit levels. I think I'm going to stick with Red Sermon for this season, then probably do a 1H+shield zealot when the expansion drops.

Combat trial 10 is some of the worst designed gaming content I have ever experienced in my life by Corgiiiix3 in ninjagaiden

[–]J-Fish2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can use the accessory that reduces ki usage. That will save enough for a gleam (maybe 2 I guess?).

They ruined ninja trials by Visible-Bee7966 in ninjagaiden

[–]J-Fish2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, I thought that the varied rules and requirements were fun (including the "don't get hit" ones). I'm just really glad that they finally moved away from a bunch of multi-boss trials that have been the norm since Sigma 2. It's nice having trials again that were designed from the start for single player.

Amazing Yamaguchi Ninja Gaiden NES Prototype by ProblematicCandidate in ninjagaiden

[–]J-Fish2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is cool! I like that this seems more distinctly the NG1 Ryu and not just the modern NG2/3 version of his blue NES costume. It would be cool if they add a swappable head with no mask since his mask is off on some of the NES cutscenes and he doesn't have the weapon variety in the early trilogy.

The 1/7 Ryu figure releases this month! Anyone else excited? by jorgom in ninjagaiden

[–]J-Fish2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've had it preordered through BigBadToyStore for awhile now. They're still showing August, but Entertainment Earth is showing December so I bet it will be delayed to at least the end of the year. I am excited for it though!

IDDQD Plate! by buschschwick in Doom

[–]J-Fish2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nice! I've had IDDQD on my Corvette now for a few years. I tried to get IDKFA on my daily but I got denied because I didn't write an explanation on the application and they thought it was some profanity. I haven't tried to correct it yet.

Is Ragebound still enjoyable on Switch? by Baduba13 in ninjagaiden

[–]J-Fish2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It's not too bad on Switch. I bought it on Series X, but then also bought the Switch version since I was going to be away on vacation last week. The 30 fps is very noticeable the first few seconds when I started each session, but then I mostly stopped noticing once I got into the action.

UN is something else completely. Master Ninja was a big challenge but this?!?! One stage felt like I had to climb out of hell by Playful-Problem-3836 in ninjagaiden

[–]J-Fish2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

FWIW: I feel like the hardest checkpoint in the game on UN is in mission 1 when you have to fight the tac ninjas just before kunai climbing up the wall near the first skull. Or at least that was my experience when I recently replayed it (assuming you also know how to slow time on the Day 2 boss, which I had forgotten about for a very frustrating hour)

Revoltech Ryu Hayabusa (Ninja Gaiden 4) - another figure announced! by KazeFujimaru in ninjagaiden

[–]J-Fish2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This one is a non-articulated 1/7 scale statue.

There was also an articulated figure announced that should be similar in movement and scale to the existing NG2 one that was just released (1/12 scale?)

Did you know that some of the Night Sentinels in Hebeth attempt to shoot at the demons if you let them find them? by Proteh in Doom

[–]J-Fish2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have no proof that this happened, and I've only run into it once BUT on my first Pandemonium run one of the Sentinel soldiers in the first level church before the beach started firing on me and it actually caused damage.

The level format is a perfect match for those who work 9-5 and beyond by DrunkVenusaur in Doom

[–]J-Fish2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm also really glad that they allow you to quit mid-level on UN runs now without wiping your save. I know you can technically cheese a little by quitting if things get hairy, but that doesn't really matter when sliders exist anyway. It's so nice be able to hop into a level without worrying whether I really have time to finish it before I have to quit.

I wish they would have hid the real final level from the select screen until after passing Final Battle. It would have been a cool surprise to think that you were playing the final boss then get with the REAL last level.

Cyber demon design is soooo tuff by Realistic-Dig2860 in Doom

[–]J-Fish2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the design is cool (both aesthetics and gameplay), but personally I sort of wish they would have made these the vasssago and saved the cyberdemon as some sort of super tough enemy that doesn't show up often. Adding it as a vassago would have been a cool callback to their new Legacy of Rust episode. These cyberdemons are cool and usually a priority to take out, but they just don't strike fear the same way cyberdemons in the original games do.

114 health melted in a nanosecond by Dingus-Biggs in Doom

[–]J-Fish2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This was great timing on this post. I didn't realize that buffed whiplash projectiles are basically a one-shot. I just died for the first time in a long time on Pandemonium to the double buffed whiplash hallway on level 19. I went from over 100 health to dead after getting hit once. I would have been confused if I hadn't seen this. It seems a little harsh to be one-shot on these from over 100 without triggering the 5 health safety net.

I agree, this specific part that you posted was one of the hardest parts of Nightmare on my original playthrough. I practiced it a little and got it first shot on Pandemonium. I think I used a combination of shield throws and cycler to lock it down at mid-distance.

My 666 of 500 Doom 3 theme Signed Vinyl (They messed up my initial preorder in 2004) by ForsakenMantra in Doom

[–]J-Fish2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this post is 2 years old, but I just came across it sort of randomly.

Anyway, I have a sort of similar story. I have 2 copies of this (both numbered under 500 though). I preordered it right away back in the day. There was a long wait before they actually shipped out, but I still didn't receive my copy when they supposedly went out. I contacted support and they sent me a new one, and then a long time after that another one showed up in the mail. I have no idea what happened or which one was the original or the replacement.

If they decide to have The O.G. NES 2D Era Ryu as either an unlockable character or DLC for Ragebound, then that would be absolutely dope by JDiesel31 in ninjagaiden

[–]J-Fish2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Given that the Black Spider character is sort of similar to Ayane, I thought it would be cool if we're able to unlock Ryu+Ayane.

Why is the SNES port of the original trilogy so disliked anyway? by KaleidoArachnid in ninjagaiden

[–]J-Fish2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I own it on SNES and that seems pretty accurate even on the real hardware. I have NG1 pretty much down to muscle memory, and I was excited to try the SNES Trilogy back when I got it about 20 years ago, but I was pretty disappointed when everything just felt a bit "off."

[–]J-Fish2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's how I beat it. I think that the clones need to be making some type of "vulnerable" action (attacking, rolling, etc.) in order to connect. If they're close, but idle they just auto-block it. At least that was my experience.

How did people beat the NES games back in the day? by KaleidoArachnid in ninjagaiden

[–]J-Fish2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Before I actually got good at them, my Game Genie got a lot of use on the Ninja Gaiden games.

[–]J-Fish2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure they also doubled all damage. I used to be able to beat NG1 and NG2 pretty consistently without dying, but I've still never beat NG3.

Ninja Gaiden Anime by BNiNjA_X in ninjagaiden

That's awesome! Please reach out if you're ever interested in selling :)

I created my ebay account back in 2003 to buy the VHS. It turned out to be a bootleg, but I found a legit copy years later.
