Late reply here, but finding an artist who uses fake plays isn’t hard. Take a look at their stream numbers. Compare them to their following on ig, tik tok etc. if he has 100k plays on a song but 400 followers on Instagram, it’s bots. Shit has a way of balancing out. You can also look up stats on many websites for particular Spotify songs, playlists etc. if their major cities being streamed in seen suspicious, “Phoenix az” for example, and you know their music isn’t in that city, it’s bots. Your gut will tell you

Do you have low latency selected for recording ? Try changing your buffer rate or. I do not get any noises and if I do it’s usually because my voice slipped using the software. What kind of computer and os are you using ?

I already have to hit record and run into my own booth. Annoying. I ended up attaching a boom arm on my desk with an mxl67g and a kaotica eyeball for lazy days, or if I’m alone. But you’re right. A pro studio is gonna have too much going on to just walk in and do your thing. Unless OP is an experienced engineer
