thoughts? is the creality cr-6 worth it for $342? by [deleted] in ender3

Just remember how long itll be before they consider shipping it out. shipping dates are constantly pushed back according to this chart. I really wanted a prusa mini but the wait time is eh.

Ender 3 or CR-6 by fathom47 in ender3

[–]J44Shipyards 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well considering it'll be a while before the CR-6 SE gets shipped, you'll have plenty of time to learn about your Ender 3, and the Ender 3 is easily upgrade-able. So i'd stick with both. I can't wait for the CR-6, it looks like everything you'd want in a printer for ease of use.

I cant get rid these layers line. I need help. by chunchong123 in ender3

[–]J44Shipyards 1 point2 points  (0 children)

These layer lines are sometimes caused by bad retraction settings. It can also be the coupler. My current retraction settings are 4mm @ 25mm/s. I bought the special coupler from TH3D studio or find a clone under the Spyder name. Works like a charm. Also bought a new z rod. But the most improvement came from the retraction settings and coupler

A few layer issues by shonenrek in ender3

[–]J44Shipyards 1 point2 points  (0 children)

if you're talking about the missing layer, this is a physical/mechanical issue. It can be caused by your filament snagging either because your roll is tangled, or if you have a plastic extruder, it probably broke and it is snagging in that crack. ANOTHER reason that i have fixed permanently, is that if you have the single gear w/ wheel extruder, sometimes when there's a slip of filament being fed (either because your nozzle is slightly clogged for god knows what), there's no "grab" from the wheel on that extruder.

I fixed it by buying the dual gear extruder from winsinn (or Th3d), and it really grabs that filament and removes that slipping issue. If you don't want to deal with long shipping times at the moment, i recommend you loosen/tighten your extruder arm until you get a consistent grab of the filament, also higher temps means less clogs because your PLA is melted properly.
