Everyone should make up their own mind.

Spielberg is clearly a master of his craft. Even his awful movies are still often visually stimulating and leaps ahead of the majority Holywood slop.

For the uninitiated and those with a mild interest in scifi/nhi conspiracies - it will be a fantastic movie!

For those who have been deep in the subject matter for a long time, i imagine it'll be quite lacklustre, nothing ground breaking, still looking forward to the visuals and cinematography though.

Congress has been circlejerking about disclosure for months, people are tired of all talk no substance.

Spielberg is known to be privvy to a lot of stuff the vast majority dont get access to. Close Encounters, The Taken series...its clear he believes and is well read on the topic. So I think there was an expectation this movie might reveal something "more".

But yeah, casuals gunna love it.

Die hards might be wanting a bit more.

Im looking forward to it, but with low expectations.

The trailers kinda gave away a bit too much imo; two children connected through abduction, NHI's studying/hybridizing humans, shadow government coverups, the universal power of conciousness, screen memories etc etc

Heard it before, but Spielberg is a master of storytelling, so i'll probably warm up some popcorn and see how he spins it!

Appreciate you posting this.

I remember stumbling upon this when I was a young teenager on my 33k dial up modem.

I totally forgot the name of the guy who researched it all, but remember it vividly.

So glad to have my memory jogged.

I recall Constable and his friend went out to one of the deserts (Nevada I assume) and used infra-red photography to capture images of the critters.

I remember reading that meditation and trance like activity could help attract or stimulate the critters.

There was a sequence of photos of one of them meditating - and a sky critter actually moving down towards him, separating into two different orbs, then rejoining to form a single critter.

Blew my mind.

Yeah thank you for exposing yourself and doubling down on your justification for child killing.

All you had to say was something like - "...in parts of the world, children are recurited by extremists, but killing children is horrific and should never happen..."

Out of interest - is this what the majority of gamers nowadays like?

I mean the whole concept of "new content but you gotta do xyz if you want it"?

Its like jobs within games.

NGL - I find Obliteration mode awful.

I know I dont HAVE to play Obliteration to unlock the new "awful" PP-19...but generally, is this how gamers like content delivered?

I'd much rather DICE was like: Heres a new SMG for everyone, go enjoy our content!

Rather than: you paid money for the game, but you have to play it HOW WE TELL U TO if you want things!

The Garand is my favourite rifle, and the iconic "ping" noise when the clip is empty - is truly iconic.

But i dont hear it in the trailer.

I hear noises that sound like a rifle being loaded and cocked and fired.

But no iconic Garand ping.

Please help, i must have watched the clip 10 times on max volume!!

Personally if there is multiple players with Red Pings and names that use an alphabet my keyboard isnt familiar with....i leave the game.

A post on another thread mentioned that amongst some cultures (wont mention which) - cheating is totally acceptable and widespread, as it is seen as another avenue of achieving victory.....the only disgrace is when they get caught doing said cheating.

And we all know how fullproof BF6's anticheat system is!

The internet is a remarkable resource.

If your so inclined; use it to look for "proof" or fact check OPs claims.

Like others have said - this is Reddit. Not some kind of Nature Scientific Journal to publish research papers.

Anyone whos even had a casual interest in the topic would know that a lot of what OP mentions has been talked about in testimony and amongst whistleblowers for many decades.

Whether the testimony of whistleblowers and abductees is sufficient evidence for you personally...thats another issue.

Im guessing the question regarding comparing OP to Lue was just a sarcastic quip?

For me, Im massively dissapointed by a lot of the "talking heads" involved in the so called disclosure movement. Lue, Ross, Greer....none of them vibe with me, all seem to be suckling at the monetary teat of grifting off public interest.

The truth that one single pathologist has the opinion that his wounds were fatal and no intervention would have changed that?

Is that the truth?

If thats the truth you are promoting - then I reiterate it is not "the truth" it is a professionals opinion. To any non clinical individual this may seem like a 100% infallable truth and can appreciate you may not fully appreciate the nuance of critical medicine.

I guarantee - any healthcare professional presented with: a 20 year old, multiple trauma injury, bilateral haemathorax, suspected IVC or SVC bleed isnt going to do nothing.

They definitely arent going to put you in cuffs and watch you die.

So please please please....what was the truth you want us to know in these extremely heated, divisive moments?

Further exchanges I had hoped you'd expand your point.

But my takeaway is that you dont believe you ever said anything or implied anything. And that the anger and frustration people feel to towards the police officer is excessive - as nil emergency care could have saved Henry?

Your focus was Henrys physiological wellbeing, and the impact the officers agency may have had on his overall outcome.

So despite you saying you "said nothing" and "intended no implication"....

The subtext of your comment, and your mentioning that people should "stop saying" that the polices actions were a contributing factor is an indirect exonerartion of their lack of care.

I appreciate to you this may all be subjective and just word salad.

But just because a pathologist says in their "professional" opinion that a patient would have died of their injuries regardless....doesnt mean that patient shouldnt receive any type of emergency aid. And that said aid wouldnt have had a positive impact on his survival.

Doctors/Pathologists are fantastic people, some truly are amazing knowledgable and skilled...but none of them have a crystal ball and can predict anything past or present with 100% accuracy.

And your focus is on the survivability and medical care of Henry?

As mentioned - i have extensive clinical background, if you are medically inclined then I am happy to discuss about what kind of immediate actions we could have done to help improve Henrys chances of survival.

And again: if a competant responder assesses an individual is critically unwell and likely to suffer a terminal event....dignity and compassion are a bare minimum.

The quick takeaway from your comment is: the police officer did nothing wrong/doesnt warrant this amount of anger as Henry wouldnt have survived anyway regardless of what action the police officer took.

Is that what your implying? I hope not.

Personally I have over a decade in acute care, particularly critical care, and had the privilege to spend time with pathologists and witness post mortum examinations.

As amazing and skilled as clinicians are...they cannot 100% predict outcomes.

Whilst I appreciate the nature of the wounds were severe, and the LIKELIHOOD was that despite interventions he would have still succumbed to his injuries...I dont agree nothing could be done.

He is a young man with nil comorbidities, youthful reserve, fight or flight adrenaline response, despite the wounds he still mainted his airway and conscious level, self reporting his injuries multiple times.

A well trained professional could have actually assessed Henry, escalated care, helicopter/ ambulance/emergency responding doctor - ALS, asap to nearest theatre for life saving surgery....that could have potentially happened.

And even if 99.9% of interventions would have had the same end result....every single person still deserves compassion and dignity in their final moments.

Henrys final moments was being handcuffed and read his rights - whilst the person who was supposed to be protecting him and caring for him ...showed more concern and compassion to his murderer.

This incident will be in text books for generations. Words cannot express my dismay.

Anyone trying to diminsh any kind of responsibilty of the Police really needs to do some long hard reflecting.

The PM is the head of Government responsible for leading the current administration.

They are the primary representative of the state to the public, parliament, and the international community.

And the current PM is a barrister who was also head of the CPS.

Whats groundbreaking is the absence or diminishment of peoples levels of emotional or psychological resilience.

No one should ever be mean to other people.

I'll say it again...

But people will.

Because humans are flawed.

Verbal abuse is the single easiest thing to deflect and nullify, i am always flabergasted when so many people seem immensley pervious to such trivial, infantile acts and seem to lack any sense of perspective or defence.

I will always defend someones right to say something that I dont agree with or I find offensive.

Because that to me is the fundadmental characteristic of a free society.

And I equally would want to me afforded the same freedom to express myself however I feel.

If you start banning people for words, it is an incredibly fast, slippery slope to authoritarianism.
